Shine: Photo Sharing

My friends are notorious for hoarding photos, and it often takes ages to get pictures they've taken of me. But Shine's photo tagging feature solves this. Shine automatically uploads photos from events, and after my friends tag me, the app gently reminds me to request those photos. This seamless process eliminates the endless "Hey, can you send me that photo you took?" texts. With just a few clicks, I can easily reclaim my photos and enjoy the memories captured by my friends.

This app really does let you stay in the moment while it captures all your special memories! It’s easy to set up and makes photos sharing after an event effortless. I’m excited to continue to use it with friends!

this is poorly designed, unintuitive, and filled with bugs

This app is fantastic - powerful, easy to use, intuitive. This team is putting together slick solutions to pain points I (assume many of us!) we run into with the volume of photos on our devices!

Weed out the duplicates, select the best photos, preceeate photo albums based on time & location - this all really sounds good. But when there are gaps in your P0 cases it’s hard to compete with the existing photo sharing giants, where the basic use case works 99.99% of the time. Shine should really focus on reliability of the basic functionality that it offers.

This is what happens, when you fire your only designer two months prior to launch. Deleted.
