## Shirabe Jisho Description
Simple but powerful Japanese-English, English-Japanese dictionary app. 

The app's features include:

● Over 170.000 dictionary entries with readings and english meaning
● Over 6.500 kanji characters with stroke order
● Over 730.000 Japanese names, place names and institution names
● Over 147.000 example sentences with translation

● Instantaneous search results

● Character input by kanji and kana handwriting recognition. Recognition algorithm can handle wrong stroke order and small mistakes.
● When multiple similar characters are found, you don't need to redo drawing after each character - just long  press to see a preview
● Search by kanji radicals (for example 日 and 月 will find 明)
● Wildcard search - "*" can replace any number of characters and "?" can replace any single character. Works both with English and Japanese words.
● Search by kanji, kana and romaji - "じしょ", "じsho" and "jisho" will give the same search results

● Kanji lists by JLPT level and school grade (1 - 6)
● Multiple word lists divided by subject, grammatical function, JLPT level and more

Many Japanese language apps in the app store are pesky and restrict your usage after just 2 clicks by blocking interface and asking for money and subscription, or forcing you to log in. 

Not this app. Thank you very much to the developer.

You know most of the light novels don’t have furigana labeled for the characters. Using this app with iPad makes reading comfortable when you can just search the characters and words easily by handwriting. You also can bookmark them into organized folders and review them with Anki technique.

Also kudos to developer for making the bookmark button that auto-select my last bookmarked folder. That UX is pure fire 🔥

I have been searching Japanese dictionary for N4/N3 level. It allows English input hiragana to search for word which gives me much flexibility. The explanation is not limit to word meaning but a lot of example of sentences and change or verb which helping us to understand how to apply it in different situation. Thank you for making such a good apps for us!

### ***** "If you have IOS, and you’re learning Japanese, this is practically a necessity."
This app has singlehandedly thought me nearly 700+ Kanji throughout my first year of learning Japanese, and to this date it is probably responsible for making me know around 1000. 

The simplicity of the flashcard system and the UI make this app perfect for learning Japanese.
Sure its a dictionary at the end of the day, but you could use it to build up so much vocabulary, of course alongside other methods of learning and immersion.

If I had to pay for this, I would.
