Recently I start learning Japanese,very helpful app to use.

This app has it all. I've been using it for years. The things I like most about this app are: handwritten character input (can even handle two-character compounds), similar-looking kanji, dictionary for 人名表 (Japanese names), kanji stroke order, vocabulary bookmarks, example sentences As mentioned by others, we're lucky that this app is (still) free. Just one minor thing I'd like to be added: option to increase the size of the handwritten character input canvas

I have to agree with “unreal”: this app has no right being free! I loved and used the app called (simply but vaguely) “Japanese”. At first glance they seem to be the same but this one has so many subtle improvements over that one, making it the outright winner. This app is by far the most used app on my iPhone. Get it and improve your Japanese!

I study Japanese language and I wish that the program would allow use of this app, it’s absolutely the best dictionary I’ve used for my studies.

This app is a fantastic dictionary for Japanese. It has been extremely useful in learning and understanding Japanese. The design of this app also makes it very pleasant to use

Must have for any level learner of the Japanese language. Great dictionary, I have used it for years now.

This app (and Pleco for the Chinese language) is the best dictionary app I have ever had the pleasure of using. I recommend to anyone that’s even remotely interested in Japanese, and I firmly believe that other dictionary apps should aspire to be at least a fraction of what this app is. Do yourself a favour and download it.

This app is the best dictionary app I've found and I've downloaded a lot. You can find the right Kanji by typing in romaji/hiragana or drawing it. I bookmark the words I've learnt so I can review them later. It shows you the stroke order and the radicals in a character. You can even make flashcards with this app, or study pre-made common word lists. I wish I've found this app sooner.
