When living alone I found planning and cooking for one a challenge without having a load of food waste at the end of the week/ month. Sidekick has been amazing at helping me plan better, reduce waste, budget better and explore ingredients and cuisines I’d never made at home before! Highly recommend!
This app is actually fantastic if you don’t have severe allergies. It really helps me save on food waste, and actually cook more rather than getting take out, because I have a plan for the week. I checked it out because I liked the Sorted YouTube channel, but that is the least enticing aspect of the app. The recipes are great, if a little basic. I would love some more challenging recipes or a way to search on equipment used (I want to use my instant pot more).
As a late-diagnosed ADHD adult, I struggled to eat well my whole life. Meal planning was my kryptonite. Sidekick takes care of that. Simply select a 3-meal pack and it puts together a shopping list from which all the perishable ingredients will be used across your meals. Then, when it’s time to cook, get step-by-step instructions with audio guidance throughout. The meals are delicious, to boot.
Absolutely love the app and the recipes. My fiancée and I have been using it to cook more at home vs getting takeout. However when I created my account I used my Google account, and now anytime I need to re-login I have to go through the sign-up/preferences flow to get to the sign-up with Google button that actually just logs in. Please add a login with Google button to the login screen

Loved this app from day one. Sorted is constantly improving to prioritize user experience. Grocery list being assembled for you as well as the ability to remove items you already have is a game changer. Lots of choice and diversity in the meals offered.
So I was an early subscriber but then I left because of the bugs but got the yearly subscription this last time because they’ve really upped their game. Love the choices and variety that let me try cooking new dishes all the time.
I’ve use the app for about four months and it’s been great. The recipes have turned out almost universally well and have really diversified my repertoire. The instructions are super clear and include a ton of things you don’t normally get like integrated timers for each step and notes on downtime where you can get ahead of the washing up. Overall an excellent app I’d recommend to anyone.
I have been using the app for about a year now. It gives me recipes that I would have never thought of that turn out great. I normally search for a pack with a vegetable that looks great in the market and then can quickly grab the rest with the grocery list. Instructions have never let me down.
My husband and I are enjoying the recipes and the handy shopping list! We would like a place for personal notes for next time (e.g. use processor instead of hand blender, good with toast, better as a side, etc.).
