Finally
One of my favorite games that my family WILL NOT play against me because of the app. And that was before it got SO much better with the update that changed I’d up. And now offering Coin gives me a new challenge in the game. Guess I will have to play a game of Dagger with the fam before that deck releases
Improved bot now cheats.
Bots are now much stronger but unfortunately it now cheats. The first time I was mirroring its reveals and it discarded two cards that did not match my mirror in its first move. Thought maybe I was off by one. Second time I used the witch to give it a new card which it immediately pair traded down. I didn’t have a 4 so no way it could have known the deck. Prefer a less competitive bot that doesn’t cheat. :(
Used to be great
They pushed a major update recently to make the app look more flashy, but functionally has taken a huge step down.
I used to play this pretty regularly, but uninstalled after trying to play a few games after the update.
Sorry but did anyone play the update before launching?
One of my favorite games is ruined with this update. It’s gorgeous but no longer fun. So many more taps and endlessly changing the view. Less is more, really it is! It’s annoying, takes longer to play and is frustrating now instead of fast and fun. Also sometimes I can’t get it to exchange more than one card at a time when they match.
New App Everything I Hoped Old App Would Be
I’m frankly baffled by the wave of negative reviews to this rejuvenated Silver app, particularly those that claim the old version was less buggy or had better functionality. As a huge Silver fan, I was excited when the Silver app originally released a few years back. However, I was quickly turned off by its fatal limitations. Play was stifled from the start, since there was no option to play with friends, with only the option to duel a single AI opponent. Additionally, the UI was clunky and very buggy, often causing you to make unintentional errors, such as discarding a card instead of using its power. Though I really wanted to enjoy this digital version of one of my favorite card games, after a few frustrating attempts I stopped playing, as it offered no compelling advantages over just playing in-person.
This latest adaptation, however, effortlessly translates all the charm of the physical version of Silver to the screen. First of all, it allows for a varied style of play. You can choose to play with friends, random players online, or by yourself, and you can mix in any number of automated opponents for games of 2-4 players. The app also allows you to save the custom decks you’ve created by mixing cards between different sets, so you can always refer back to your favorites. However, most noticeably of all, the UI is much more intuitive, polished, and FUNCTIONAL than the original’s. The game clearly indicates what your options are on any given turn for any given action, and I have yet to run into a situation where my input was misinterpreted, which was a common occurrence in the old app. While I have a few minor nitpicks, like there being too little time for viewing cards during the Insomniac action and the arrows for the Goth Girl power being a little cumbersome, this new Silver app is an undisputed improvement over the old one in basically every respect, and like its physical counterpart, made me want to keep playing again and again.
So if you, like me, were left disenchanted by the original Silver app, don’t let the recent negative reviews give you the wrong impression. These people’s criticisms are either addressed by playing for five minutes (YES you can play solo, YES you can toggle card reminders), or they are so stubbornly nostalgic for the previous version that they have deluded themselves into viewing the old clunky interface as a POSITIVE, and refuse to give the new one a chance. While the Silver Bullet deck expansion costs $2, it is well wort
New version awful
The old version was incredible. The game flow was smooth. This new version is clunky, can’t turn off the click sounds, functionality is worse. It looks nicer but made the game unplayable in my opinion. I would play the old one 5 to 10 times a day. I won’t play this one ever again. It’s frustrating and a waste of time.
Used to be good
You used to get Silver Amulet and Bullet for free. With the new update, you now have to pay for Silver Bullet. So they took away content.
They broke it
A new version was released and it’s now not playable at all on IOS. What a shame. The old app was great.
Poor upgrade
Unfortunately this is no longer as good of a game. After the upgrade I am unable to play a solo game. Also, I do not like how the numbers are on the cards that you have seen. Part of the fun of the game is having to keep track of what your face down cards are by memory.
New update limits game
Hi,
The new update took away the bullet game option. Please update it. Good to see updates for this game but should remove functionality which was previously working. Tnx
