## SimMon Description
SimMon is a basic remote controlled patient monitor for full scale medical simulation.

Using SimMon on any pair of devices, iOS 13 or newer, gives you a simple remotely controlled simulated patient monitor.

An iPad makes for an ideal multi-touch controlled remote and the big screen makes a great bedside patient monitor.

Open SimMon on your two devices of choice and connect via WiFi or Bluetooth. Change the blood pressure, oxygen saturation, respiration rate or heart rate by touching the value and dragging your finger up or down.

I use this app regularly for simulation training. It works well for use as we are unable, at present to get our hands on a professional monitoring simulator. Only one drawback is that when you simulate cardiac arrest there is no Alarm! Food for thought for the developers. Otherwise I’d have given 5 stars.

### ***** "Excellent for improving low/med fidelity sim training"
This is a great investment. I've used this several times with the Bluetooth link between phone and iPad, and it's easy to use and very believable. The options for the different parameters are great, especially having the traces accessible separately from the readings, allowing for an escalation in monitoring capacity. As a next upgrade, it would be lovely to have the option of accessing 12 lead ecg and X-rays through a corner of the screen, with a small database of classic emergency problems (pneumothorax, haemothorax, STEMI etc)

I use this for simple in situ simulation for neonatal scenarios. While clearly developed for adult use, can be used for simple neonatal scenarios,  although BP cannot be set low enough for realistic neonatal values in preterm babies. Would be nice to have the option of a neonatal setting that allows more realistic BP at low levels.

I use this app paired between an iPhone (remote) and iPad (simulation monitor). It makes for a perfect set up for high fidelity sim and actually works a lot better than some of the more expensive kit out there. My only bugbear is that the ETCO2 waveform isn't that realistic and it would be nice to get the BP automatically cycling. If I could add any feature, it would be the ability to programme in a timed sequence of events (I.e at 3 minutes the patient begins to desaturate, coinciding with an obstructed CO2 trace) But they are small issues and the app works extremely well!

Keeps things very basic, but actually this means that it looks pretty realistic, and makes it very straight forward to operate.can be done on an iphone but better for two ipads. Only a few obvious gripes with it- sats trace still gives regular wave form in VF. I would recommend for insitu sim with minimal fuss and kit.

really disappointed with this. I was expecting an interface similar to ALSi where for example defibrillation could be simulated and vital signs alterations occurring over time etc.

I teach medical simulation and resuscitation every week. Sometimes I just want to run a simple scenario without all the high fidelity expensive kit and wires. SimMon is perfect for this. It adds realism to your training but is very simple to use and can be taken anywhere in the hospital. Just place your iPad next to a patient actor or manikin and off you go. If you have another apple device link it with your monitor via bluetooth and you have a remote control. The technology has never failed and the candidates really enjoy having the simulated patient monitor screen. We often use it on Resuscitation Council (UK) courses and ALERT courses for deteriorating patient scenarios. If you have an iPad and teach regularly it is worth the investment.

Thank you so much for creating this app (and saving me the job of trying to create one myself)! I am a doctor involved in medical simulation. This app is a gem! It stands alone in the App Store as a medical simulation platform that is easy to use, versatile, realistic and affordable. Now I can run simulation in a ward environment with a low fidelity mannequin by with all the tools I require to make a high fidelity monitoring environment, all from the comfort of my iPhone & iPad. 
All I ask is for End-tidal CO2 and anaesthetic gas monitoring as future updates! Plus the ability to make alarms occur. Pretty please!

This is a great way of making a cheap mannequin interact like a very expensive hi fidelity one. In this context the price is a bargain. 
By using an iPhone to control the iPad display you don't need someone in the control room. 
Clever simple controls - well thought out. 
What it needs is the ability to program in some standard scenarios and to download these.

I have downloaded this app on the recommendation of a sim fellow. It's excellent and makes simulation training far more "real" with a lo-fidelity manikin. It needs a few further tweaks, emulation of more monitors/defibs, and a CO2 number that matches the trace, the timer could go for a RR instead of confusing this with the RR. However really worth downloading and utilising as a portable simulation session with a lo-fidelity manikin.

3 star app but additional star for accepting feedback.  There are some clinical errors but they are updating and changing regularly.  Excellent tool for teaching simulation based lessons without paying out for expensive tools.
