SimpleMind Pro - Mind Mapping

• SimpleMind ⌜honours LF as well as HardSpace chars⌝, except that for the latter when it comes to Centering text on a line, nothing happens. Otoh, having e.g. a Tab char at end of line → will actually affect content centering on the given line, whereas having or adding Hard Spaces at end of line gets totally ignored, regarding content-centering. In my opinion the better behaviour would be and should be for those trailing Hard Spaces to indeed keep centered content "physically" centered, but then in a way of taking any trailing hard spaces effectively into account, which ultimately then would and should result in visual content apparently having moved leftward a bit, do you see what I mean ? • The very same applies in fact to *Right*-aligned labels. ♦︎ SimpleMind Pro v2.5.0 on iPadOS v18.1 ; ♦︎ 2024.11.09.Sat.13:22.iPm.

This app is really versatile. I don’t think there is any function available in much more expensive mind mapping apps that SimpleMind lacks and that I would seriously miss if it wasn’t there. Just as an example of the kind of feature that some of the other cheaper and free-to-use mind mapping tools lack, but which SimpleMind has, you can have multiple central nodes on one map. Very importantly too, this app remains under active development. Very handy new features are added every few months. For instance, as of a few days ago, you can apply different layouts to daughter nodes. And the developers were quick to fix a bug I reported a year or so ago. The documentation is also very simple and clear. The video explaining the recently added multiple layout styles feature I personally found surprisingly easy to digest. The only things I would like this app to do that it can’t do are things that I can’t do with any normal mind-mapping software. These would be for the times when I need to do looser thinking and scribbling than are allowed for within the hierarchies of mind maps, such as writing a poem or a very difficult personal letter. For those occasions, there exist tools such as Freeform and Scapple.

Ik heb meerdere minimaal-app’s gebruikt, en SimpleMind bevalt me het meest. Sinds ik er mee werk heb ik de zoektocht naar een beter alternatief stopgezet.

I placed a negative review yesterday since my templates became black. I was in a rush do get something done for my job and noticed that all my templates were converted in the black status. Next time when you make a change please don’t automatically change the layout of our templates. Fantastic mindmap app which brings added value into the world of mindmapping. So after my panic of yesterday back to better :-) .

Cette app est la meilleur de tout l’app Store. J’aio payé les 8€ je les regrette pas car je l’utilise tout les jours. Bisous

It's on of the best, if you don't mind not having a word document style like MindManager. Far more lightweight.

MindMap allows me to catch my thoughts and with the intuitive handling to map out the relations between topics and ideas. Also in discussions one can use it to catch ideas and discuss/refine the outcome with the team. This is possible only because of the fast and easy to learn handling.

Ik ben blij dat dat ik deze tool heb. Ik gebruikt hem vaak en snel. Hij is bijzonder handig en past zich soepel aan, aan flexibel denken en handelen. ook bij latere toevoegingen vlot het makkelijk. Kortom een tool naar mijn hart.
