Best Metronome ever! I am older and slightly impatient due to everything having to be complicated. This is simple and easy and gives me volume control for hearing issues. In addition I don’t have a big knock and bell dinging which gets me more confused. In 4 years practicing this app has let me understand and follow time, slow but sure. Thank You! Guy

My ancient and simple metronome app did not survive the lightspeed transition through 7 (count 'em!) generations of iPhone, and I'm sad. This one is a good enough substitute, so I'll keep it for a while. I took a star off for the tinny beat sound. Sort of like a vintage mini-taktel made out of tin or aluminum instead of plastic, or a pickle ball volleying from a metal foil racquet. However, it has excellent volume and audibility. Since the vintage classical crowd I run with generally already knows where the downbeat is, we can do without all the extras.

Terrible I tried to do piano and it kept stopping

For years I’ve used Soundbrenner, but they’ve started adding features that I don’t need and now they’re nagging me to sign up for a $60 a year subscription so they have the funds to keep adding more features I don’t need. I only want a metronome. To pay $60 a year to use a metronome would be insane. I’d love to buy a mechanical Wittner metronome but I can’t afford to at the moment. Luckily while searching for a replacement for the Soundbrenner I came across this. It’s absolutely perfect for my needs. It’s just a click with an easy to use and very intuitive interface. I wish I could buy it, I’d gladly pay $10 for it, but I’m very thankful that the developer is giving it away for free.
