## SkiMaps Description
Going skiing or snowboarding this winter? Download trail maps from your favourite ski resorts to your iPhone and use the built-in GPS to find your way around the slopes or track your activities.

The best thing is that you don't need an active internet connection, just download the maps you'll need in advance and everything you need on the slopes is right there on your iPhone. If you do have an internet connection available however, you can display webcams from Windy.com on the piste maps or check the weather forecast at your favourite resort.

SkiMaps is now also available on iPad, a great tool for making plans for your next trip!

Tried using this in the Three Valleys ski area- Over a 6 day period it failed to produce any data - kept saying it had location issues even though it would tell you exactly where you were at any given moment. 
Buy SkiTracks instead

Alas the maps for the areas I have been to were very low resolution and badly out of date. Contacting the developer (and offering new hi-res maps) was met with silence unfortunately. 
The trails followed on the maps are really fat and obscure a lot of the map especially when they are close and coalesce. 
With support it could be great. However…

I download this app in advance of my ski trip to view maps of the runs I was likely to be going on, this app is fantastic, you can also access webcam views of the resort in advance of going... Could you add Auron ski map. It's about 20 mins drive from Isola 2000. Not bad app needs a little more work. I am a ski instructor so showing the clients the speed etc etc etc is fun.

### ***** "when to Glencoe and Gleenshee in scotland and this worked a treat"
When to Glencoe and Gleenshee in scotland at the weekend and this app preform perfectly.  The GPS located worked every time, where as a leading name in navigation failed every time in Mayrhofen last month.  The maps data was an exact copy of the official resorts maps so was all good, again unlike the leading name that used a 2d map that was impossible to navigate

Have used this app on at least 6 holidays now and worked good. 

If your map is not listed then just email the developer and he will add it within a day or two or at least He did for me. 

Based on my ski trips I would recommended this to everyone.

Seems very comprehensive to me in early usage. Verbier has always been part of The 4 Valleys ski area of the Swiss canton Valais (Wallis) and the maps are shown very clearly. The links to the web cameras are good, it remains to be seen how good the location services for friends will be.

If you can't find a resort, just email the developer and he'll get it up in no time at all. If you have a specific piste map you'd like to use email the developer with it and it's up. Great app for ease of use and new features keep getting added.
