Also the pin keypad is very sluggish and has no tactile feedback.

I came to this bank in hopes of having a great experience with a new online bank. It’s starting off bad. They gave me $50 when I maxed out my deposit money of $4k within a 4 week period as required via their recent promo for opening a new account. It was supposed to be $400. So that’s already a sign that they’re not truthful to their promotions.
Only reason I opened this account was because of the higher yield % compared to Ally Bank at the moment. I may have to end up closing the account. After this 6 month period of 3.8%.

See the most recent reviews of this app, they all bad, if you are thinking of joining Sofi, DON’T do it. The app is user friendly, however, I got a transaction I didn’t recognize for $1.4k and they didn’t do anything about it. I disputed it but they decided that my case wasn’t strong enough after weeks. I have never had these issues with any other prior banking.

Kind of annoying to get pushed services when you’re trying to check your balance or move money around.

Another thing that’s never been fixed is the ability to search your transactions. Always says “We’re checking on it”. I’ve delegate reinstalled several times but still no go. Just want to be able to search my account without scrolling forever.

### *---- "If you travel internationally: AVOID SOFI"
First, I have no issues with SoFi in the states. Great app and services. However, I travel to Asia for work and for tourism and this card is useless. You can’t log travel because they use “smart detection” to identify if you’re overseas…or so they say. Your card will be declined after every purchase, and you need to confirm over text that it was you before you try again. If you’re using an eSIM that doesn’t allow you to get texts from your US number, good luck. I’ve tried countless times to get this fixed with the in-app support, and they are useless. First, you have to get past the endless AI bot slop, and then human agent support is slow, and every time they say “your problem has been addressed” and then nothing changes. If you need cash from an ATM overseas, forget about it. Again, if you only plan to use this bank for domestic purposes, SoFi is fine, but avoid at all costs if you travel.

I applied for a loan that I was approved for, I followed all the prompts and then it just stayed idle no communications or prompts advising there are steps missing instead the status said everything was ok and that the loan was being funded 5 days later the funds didn’t come no, emails, messages communications, nothing it just said Funding, when asking the AI it would say that everything was ok and that it was an issue someone would get in touch, until I decided to try and contact someone in Sofi, who then Told me that an extra step was needed, the lack of communication in such an important matter is unacceptable the application process needs to be fixed so the application can be properly filed as it is SoFi has an application process that is confusing and full of deceiving information along the way

Zelle was sent and it disappeared. So I am kind of broke and I had some overdraft in my Chase account so if my employer would have sent me Zelle in Chase, I would have had less amount to be used compared to if I bring and change my Zelle number to SoFi then I would have everything in my pocket so when the money must send, it says your transaction has been put on hold due to review and this is the fifth day I didn’t get the money nor my doctor got the money back in his account so never use it with them. I called him 10 times and every person had different information for me. Thank you.

Do not, under any circumstances, bank with SoFi. They have poor system systems, poor customer service, hidden fees and surcharges, and make it impossible to withdraw your money. Multiple members of my family have had the same issue and this is by far one of the worst banks I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. It’s been over a year and I can’t withdraw my money. Absolutely horrible experience and I wish nothing but the worst for the company.

Very disappointing experience with SoFi. The initial rates and numbers looked great, but after I submitted my information, uploaded all requested documents, and they pulled my credit, the numbers changed significantly and my loan/HELOC application was ultimately denied. I feel the initial offer was misleading, and I would not have agreed to a credit inquiry if I had known this upfront. Based on my experience, I would stay away and consider other lenders.

I applied through a special link from my company. It said on SoFi’s website that I’d be getting 3.80% APY but the app only showed 3.10%. I contacted customer service, stupid AI answers without understanding my question. I ask to be connected to a human. It says a human has joined but its just another AI telling me to keep waiting and then asks if I’m there without actually solving my problem.

I opened an account based on a couple reviews I read, Consumer Reports and CNET. SoFi seemed to offer a lot and my bank went online, no more brick and morter. Starting up with SoFi was no problem, but the first charge or debt that came through popped over to my old bank and was withdrawn from there.  This happened a few times, I was in the hospital in an awkward position to handle this on my drugs.
I read about the investing that they offer.  I keep-a small amount in Robinhood to play with and learn.  I didn’t trust SoFi investments after what happened with the checking account. It’s probably me, I would need a class for this.

Latest updates: The speed and memory hogging issues have been solved 👍
They added price alerts a fee releases back. Unfortunately, you can only set up around 20-25 price alerts. No, not per asset, across your whole portfolio! I certainly hope it is some kind of feature test and they eventually will support virtually unlimited price alerts (with expiration or deactivation). As a workaround, you can get alerts from Fidelity (no limit that I know of) for assets in SoFi.

Previous review:
The app is good and has improved, especially in price update speed at market open, and in giving you asset information at a glance, access to different analyst ratings, not just the average and links to related news. I use other trading platforms but most of the time I check asset information on the SoFi app.

Unfortunately, there used to be a widget or section in "home" with top market movers of the day and that is gone. It was super useful to identify, well, top movers and potential short term targets. I would love the see that back.

Other from my original review still applies: 
READ HELP AND FAQs before trading. They don’t support partial trades. Large sized limit orders may not to be processed. No tax lots support (maybe if you call).
