Solo - Fretboard Visualization

Guitar Fretboard Trainer

Veröffentlicht von: Trio Software

Beschreibung

Solo is the ultimate practice App for mastering fretboard visualization, designed by world renowned guitarists Tom Quayle and David Beebee.
Four powerful fretboard trainers allow you to work intuitively on each aspect of the visualization process; learning note names, memorising interval shapes, outlining chord changes, and practicing scales.
Solo asks you to find intervallic functions against one root note, chord symbol or scale at a time, listens to the notes you play, and doesn’t move on until you’ve correctly found each note by its intervallic function in the specified order.
Practice with Solo and finally learn your note names, master interval shapes, confidently play through chord changes and break out of scale boxes with intervallic functions. Start transforming your playing and confidence on the fretboard today!

Fretboard knowledge and fluency significantly improving

Rjmuzza on

I’ve been using the app for about a month now and thanks to the app, in combination with Tom and David’s videos on YouTube, my fretboard knowledge and fluency is significantly improving. I can also confirm that the app is working great with the Apogee Jam audio interface.

I’ve been playing for years and never gotten round to learning the fretboard fully. Although not optimising it’s full capabilities I do feel I’ve improved my knowledge of the second and third strings in particular. I’m now looking forward to further exploration of what the app can teach to fill in the gaps I have ignored in the past.

Now Even Better!

I’ve been using Solo since it launched (sometime around lockdown). I have always waxed lyrical about this app to all of my students. Fast forward to Version 2.0 and Solo is even better. With so Many options to chose from and so much functionality, Tom and David have given guitarists the best fretboard visualisation app money can buy. Thanks, guys! Bobby

Highly recommended!!

I stumbled across this amazing app and I am so glad I did. I am using it everyday and it is really helping me improve my fretboard knowledge. It is very responsive and works really well with my guitar interface (Positive Grid’s Riff). The tution videos are really helpful in showing all the different ways the app can be used to practice, incl for ear training too. Haven’t come across any bugs etc, it is very polished and professionally done, and for what you get for the price (basically the price of a music book) - it is an absolute bargain.

Just awesome

Nice practise tool

Nice practice tool. A few things I’d like to see…1. It would be nice to be able to define my own chord progressions. Copy/edit the current ones. 2. It would be nice to be able to randomise the order of chords in an exercise, and the keybof the exercise. 3. Long shot: it would be nice to have a nice simple accompaniment playing while you play notes for a particular chord. Maybe bass and drums, or a subtle synth. Just something that established the chord so you can also hear the functionality of the notes. Also needs my favourite things, and moanin :P

Genuinely useful!

Great app, never had a problem with it. Suggestion for the dev/creators: would be cool to feed our own chord progression to the app, as its note suggestions (with note or movement restrictions set up) could help composing unique solo phrases ☺️

Dissatisfied

This app was called solo and from the pictures it seemed you were able to solo in different keys and master the fretboard but inside you just hit note in the order of the scale over and over

What about singers! A new Instrument please

BlueJazz42 on

This could be great for singers. All you need is a button on the main screen which when pressed emits the current tone expected as a short beep. This enables the singer (and players of non fretted instruments) to synchronise their pitch with the app. Also to re-pitch if they get lost. Voila a whole new market ! Simple BlueJazz

Good, still could be better

Very good software, the reason for 3 stars is - one need to pay for it (quite a lot as for AppStore apps), and there are few things which are a bit annoying. I’d give 3.5 star if had a choice or maybe 3.75. What I’m missing is: for very standard II- V- I progression there is no choice of making II chord just simple minor with b3 instead of 3rd. Every time soft starts one need to navigate to what is needed, from my perspective it would be better if soft remember last choice, there are favourites, that’s Ok, usually we are working on something for quite sometime and it would help to get on screen what was last used. Good idea and I hope It’ll help a lot in developing improvising skills. All the best guys and keep going.
