Great idea but needs a few changes

Paid, premium subscriber here. I’m really happy to have found a service similar to the Duolingo type of learning apps, that actually supports C as a language to learn. I do have a few issues with the service, however. The first is that there are some issues with the app itself (cannot see what I’m typing when using a keyboard because of the iPadOS bad at the bottom of the screen, and the app needs to slightly raise the height of the text box. Another issue is certain instructions like “drag and drop to the correct place” do not work, and it can be frustrating trying to learn what the app actually wants). My biggest issue which involves information retention is how the app promotes streaks, which is great (and the reason I signed up) however the streaks only register if a new lesson is learned and completed, and I found myself wanting to repeat older lessons so that I could cement that information. I could do this and just forgo the streaks (even though that was the purpose of paying) but when retrying the older lessons I noticed that the answers do not randomise, and I just end up learning the answers rather than the format itself. There are games and things but not for the C language.

‘Max’ has the benefits ‘Pro’ used to have

Seems quite shady to move some of the benefits of pro onto a Max subscription version. Not being funny but with the cost of living now I can’t justify spending money on this app. It’s a shame because I really enjoyed having pro but can’t justify the price for benefits I used to be entitled to as a pro subscriber. I do think the £11.94 as a pro subscriber is also expensive. I wish there was a student version of the subscription model to make it more affordable

I love this app

I am currently doing my masters in software development and this has helped me so much. So addictive too - makes coding so much fun.

Limited free learning

The app is ok but if you cannot practice on the free version how are you supposed to learn.

Good, hearts easily makes it worse.

If you leave for three days you won’t remember what to do and run out of hearts, also one of the questions of the course one exam is impossible I think, tried every possible form and it didn’t work.

im truly sorry about what i said about ur app everything i have said and for exaggerating every feature you have to make it sound bad, for example, solo learn pro, in my previous review i said “EVERYTHING AND I MEAN EVERYTHING REQUIRES SOLOLEARN PRO TO FUCTION” while that was false as there are only 4 features i can think of which are unlimited hearts, coding playground,

Good for beginners

Very good for people starting coding but some features need ads which is disappointing

Terrible but funny

This was terrible as just got the free trial and the app had two programming errors within 5 minutes. It is also not good for beginners as it tells you what to type for different things but does not explain why or what they mean.
