Pretty neat app. Does what it says. Nice quick response to help issue question too. Cant fault it at the moment. Not that I am expecting it to fail in some way. Very impressed.
I spent quite a while trialing longer established apps that all do the same thing. This app does the same as all the longer established apps but does is better and much more intuatively. Most importantly when learning to use a new app, is the support. Support for this app is personal and timely. The developer is responsive and extremely helpful. it's a new app so it's still evolving, but it's powerful out of the box. Highly recomended by me and I look forward to using it for many years. Thanks for the all the work in bringing this app to market.
I've had both OnSong 2022 and SongOne on my devices for some time now. I admit that I've used OnSong much more often as the majority of my musical friends do. But what really bugs me is the compartmentalisation. If I work on my iMac OnSong updates there but not on my iPad and vice versa. Very frustrating! I have no such problems with SongOne: it updates almost immediately across all my devices - iMac, iPad and iPhone. My big problem with SongOne is downloading new songs from the internet. I just can't fathom it. At the moment I'm using both apps in conjunction but that's clunky and expensive!
If you use OnSong, you need to check out this app. Song One is way better in every way. Better features, easier to use, better support, better pricing. I used OnSong for 10 years and grew tired of their lack of development of features that were promised from the start. Basic sync across dvices was NEVER implemented despite constant promises. And there are many other examples of how Song One is way better.
Just purchased this only to discover it won’t run on either of my iPads because they are too old! My OnSong runs on both. I can’t get my cash back. Very irritating!
Superb app which does everything the gigging musician needs and more. Works seamlessly with Apple Music for instant reference to backing tracks or original tracks for tweaking one’s performance. Flexible editor for writing or customising imported songs from other sources. Comprehensive copyright and song information section along with tempo, scroll speed and key controls. I use it with a Bluetooth pedal which again works brilliantly. I’m a guitarist but I’m sure piano players will find the virtual keyboard as useful as the virtual fretboard for customising chords for different voicing or complexity. All apps of this size can be daunting and take a bit of time to find how to use on difference devices. This works great on iPad, phone or Mac and is cleverly designed to get the best from each device. Above all, I’ve never known Support like it. Personal, knowledgeable and very receptive to feedback and suggestions to improve and develop. Simply a brilliant App that is now my go to gigging assistant with over 100 songs already listed. Thank you.
This is the only universal app (iPhone, iPad, Mac) I’ve found to store my song notes in. Useful help videos that explain how to use the app can be launched from the app help menu - I only needed to watch the overview to get started. I was able to import my songs from other apps; I found exporting to pdf and importing pdf worked best for me. Excellent and responsive support from the developer. It’s a great app, but the fact that its universal makes it the best choice for me.
Song One might be the new kid on the block, but it is already very mature and advanced app. I was so impressed by first impressions, I immediately purchased "Song One Pro", and have imported 400 songs (from OnSong). Here are some of it's great features, and reasons why you might be better off with Song One: - One purchase for Mac, iPad and iPhone versions - Looks fantastic - Easy transposition using the 'wheel', plus it can remember the original key, as well as a key for transposition & capo etc. very handy! - Dual column (if you use the print view in song flip mode) - One-off fee, rather than subscription - Auto-scrolling of songs, if you add a duration (though I prefer 'page-flip' mode). - If you're less experienced and need chord diagrams, it has them for guitars, any tuning, plus keyboard diagrams - I love how memos are attached, and magically appear when a song is scrolling Basically, it feels very well designed. The developers are helpful and quick to respond to feedback, and they've already implimented some suggestions I've given in updates. One or two things work slightly different to what I expected, coming from OnSong, but the help tools integrated into the app are fantastic, and there are plenty of video demos if needed.
I’ve sort of enjoyed using song one, but I’m not having much luck bringing songs over from Ultimate Guitar. I have exported a lot of songs from UG, sometimes they come over, more often they don’t. I have no idea why.
