Missing presets for Sonos

Beschreibung

With SonoSequencr you can create individual sequences to perform recurring tasks with just one click.
If you have multiple Sonos devices and want to play a radio station on all of them, it takes some time to set this up. With SonoSequencr, all you have to do is open the app and tap your previously created sequence.
You can lock your iOS device or use another app while your sequence is running in the background.
Of course, you can also start it from the widget, Apple Watch or using Flic Buttons.
Here are some examples:
- Group kitchen and dining room, set volume to 5, start a radio station and set a sleep timer to 2 hours
- Switch your Playbar in the living room to the TV input, set the volume to 40, add dining room and set the equalizer settings for both devices to neutral
- Disable the subwoofer and enable voice enhancement + night mode on the Playbar in the living room
- Set the equalizer settings for all your devices to specific values
- Disable touch on speaker and enable status light for all your devices
- Set the volume of the kitchen and living room to the same value as in the dining room
- Make an announcement with your individual text in the children's room
- etc...
Each of these examples, created once, requires only one tap in the widget or on your Apple Watch.
SonoSequencr also includes a restricted mode. This allows you to restrict control to specific devices, among other things.

Using an optional in-app purchase, you can also start sequences at specific times or via external triggers like IFTTT. Of course, this requires that the iOS device is on the same network as your Sonos devices at the time. For intensive use of external triggers, it is recommended to run SonoSequencr in 'server mode'. In this mode, SonoSequencr is always running in the foreground on a dedicated iOS device. SonoSequencr still supports iOS9.
There are many more features like grid view, create dynamic alarms, HTTP requests, launch other apps, automatic battery charging in server mode, transfer sequences between devices, etc....
You can only use music (radio streams/tracks/albums) for your sequences that are stored in your Sonos Favorites (My Sonos) or in your TuneIn radio stations. You can't search your entire music library in this app. Just add your most used music to my Sonos then it can be used in your sequences.
The Timed Sequences feature is only available with an optional in-app purchase 'Premium'. With this automatically renewing subscription, up to 20 sequences can be run at freely configurable times. The function is only active as long as a valid subscription exists. The costs are billed via the iTunes account. The subscription will be renewed automatically within 24 hours before expiration (same time and costs), unless it is cancelled before in 'Settings' -> 'Manage Subscriptions' or in the iTunes settings.
To use this app you must have a working Sonos system. SonoSequencr supports Sonos software 1 and 2.

Great App that Saved my Sonos

Rynd on

I had a Sonos Play One for several years as my kitchen music system. Despite its evident sound quality, most of the household stopped using it in favour of a portable Anker speaker, due to the lack of Airplay 2 and the clunk factor of the Sonos app. Ideally I was looking to add a speaker to it to make a stereo pair, but Sonos wouldn’t let me do that with an Airplay 2 enabled speaker. And so it was that the Play very nearly ended up on the scrap heap and I very nearly bought a set of AudioEngine speakers to replace it. Then I found an article recommending this app as the solution. I now have a stereo paired Sonos One second gen with the Play. They sound superb together. The Anker has been banished and the household has happily scrapped the Sonos app. Sonos should be happy ‘cos I didn’t throw their old speaker away and I spent more money to buy a new one. Why Sonos refuses to build this app’s functionality into its own app I just don’t know - they’d sell more kit if they did. But in the meantime, a massive thank you to SonoSequencr for enabling me to run my speakers in the way I wanted to configure them and making the impossible easy.

My Surround speakers are now working!

Credit to the author. This app has now allowed me to setup an older Play:1 together with a new One SL as surround speakers to a beam that was simply not possible with the Sonos app (why not Sonos?) - as it will not allow that combination. Once the config has been setup in this app, you can then (if you want to) simply return to the Sonos app and continue as before. I may well use some of the other features, however, being able to overcome this one annoying Sonos limitation is well worth the cost of this app.

Disappointed

Bought this app for just one feature - to schedule night mode on/off. Can’t do this without a ‘premium’ subscription…. Always read the small print.

Can confirm this still works

Like you, I was annoyed that I couldn’t stereo pair my Sonos one with my Play:1. I was also skeptical as to whether the app would work. I am pleased to say it works completely. You don’t need to sign into your Sonos account. As soon as it’s setup it recognises the pair on the Sonos app. You can tune both speakers with true play together instead of separately etc. Would recommend fully. Ps, thanks to whoever made this!

Rarely works

Really Don’t waste your money It’s half interesting when it works but invariably it has decided to disconnect and you need to go back to your phone and coax it back to life Only for it to not be able to find anything next time you try to use it Wish I could get a refund. Feel properly ripped off

Allows pairing of old and new

Sonos have too high an opinion of themselves and won’t let you form a stereo pair of different devices presumably due to some perfectionist hi fi view. I bought a couple of new devices to spread around so I could benefit from AirPlay 2. This brilliant app allows me to pair a Symfonisk with a Play 1 and I’m well pleased. Be warned though, the app is not intuitive at first sight. The bit you want is the “config” link against a device where you can add a stereo pair. You can carry on using the Sonos app or you can use this app by itself. And of course I can now use AirPlay without upgrading every device.

Awesome

Thank god this app exists. I'm a new owner of the Sonos Beam and was gutted when I realised I couldn't create Alexa routines to schedule Night Mode or Speech Enhancement. Not currently supported by Sonos despite users asking for years apparently. I've been looking for alternatives or other ways to do it and came across this app on Reddit. It does exactly what I need. I've set Night Mode to automatically turn on late in the evening and turn off in the morning. Subscription is also offered at a very generous price so couldn't be more happy. Thank you.

Excellent app

This apps fills some of the gaps with Sonos. I got brilliant support from the app developer when adding a new sub to my system. Recommended if you want to gain extra control of various Sonos speakers around your home.

Great app

I use this app every night to put my daughters to bed. Has recently been crashing (assume it is related to Sonos S2), but have been able to get in touch with the developer, hopefully it is an easy fix.

Excellent and helpful app

This app has allowed me to create a really helpful screen of buttons for various processes I carry out to use my Sonos setup across a large home. The developer even helped me out with an issue to get my system working better. Not sure why Sonos themselves don’t provide some of this capability but they don’t. This app makes my speaker system one-touch user-friendly for the rest of my family.
