Ad-laden PAID subscription does not support family sharing
This is ridiculous, even after paying for the subscription, we’re still bombarded with video ads, google ads, etc! This app doesn’t support family sharing even though on the App Store it says it does!
Awful scmp when other give free news
Lots of Advertisement, better switch to other news source.
The most needed fixes for the app
Dear developer, I love how this app have an intuitive UI and UX. However, this app also needs some update which personally I think a bug. Either it’s only on my device or everyone else also encounter it, this app really resource hunger as it keeps working on background. As the result, it really draining the battery and shortened my device’s battery life. The only way to resolve this issue for me is by forcing close the app after usage. So, I decided to uninstall the app and revert to the old way to access SCMP by mobile browser until this issue is resolved. I didn’t ecounter this issue before the last update. I hope a positive response from this feedback.
Neutrality
Last week I wrote a review for this apps, and gave 1 star for their nice layout but unbalanced reports. After few days it was removed. How can they removed it? I wasn't say they were lying, but in my opinion they are not neutral as news company. How can they claim they are neutral? What standard they use, and who judge this? They might not like to read it, but they can make introspections and corrections if necessary, for improvements. And may be then, I will give them 5 stars.
This is just a prove they are unbalanced. They will remove comments they don't like. If they don't like my opinion, they should give counter-comments, not removed comments they don't like.

Getting worse & worse
the articles are full of meaningless information and sentences, just to make them look longer, wasting time to filter
Good but has anti Chinese bias sometimes
A lot of the articles written by Jeoffrey Maitem and Maria Siow have a strongly pro Filipino and anti Chinese bias. This is a very odd editorial choice.
