Looking the sample shots in its ads, the Spectre app is just marvelous and immediately paid and downloaded the app. But the shots on my iphone12 were blurry with Spectre. Even landscape shots with 3 seconds exposure were blurry. Even if it’s a free app, doubtful I will ever use it. Can’t beat the Apple default camera app. What a disappointment. Waste of $$$.
I have tried this app and it does not work as expected. The auto stabilisation does not seem to work as I cannot seem to get it to become stable while handheld. Trying to take a long exposure at night with light streaks led to a blurry mess as the app cannot seem to focus or stabilise (even the background streaks when it’s not actually supposed to move). I love Halide, their other app, but this app is a disappointment. I hope it gets fixed in an update.
The actual performance of the app does not correspond to the described specs listed in this app. The end result was out of focused pictures even if its stabilised. There is no so called AI performance or intervention in this app at all.

This thing can’t focus in low light on an iPhone. Got this to shoot night cityscapes, but the only thing this app does right is capture light streaks. Unusable for night long exposure shots
I have no idea why my previous review was removed. Nothing has changed in the one month plus I’ve had this (since release and update). It takes blurry shots on my iPhone XS Max. When trying light trails, the lights get blown out. Long exposures to make people disappear just results in blur photos no matter how still I hold my phone. Seriously I find the built in Live Photos better for all intents and purposes. Do not waste your $$$ on this.
Why can’t we lengthen the exposure to 15s, 30s or even a bulb setting that react to voice command?
Still needs some work. Siri section: tapping settings doesn’t immediately go back to main app page. Some lags and slow response when accessing functions within app. Please fix this.
I’m rarely moved to leave reviews, but the quality of this app is, unfortunately, that bad. I purchased the app for its long exposure options, which offer longer durations than the native iPhone 15 Pro Max camera app. The difference between the native camera app and the Spectre app are night and day. With the native app, I was able to take clear, beautiful images of the Milky Way from a high altitude with a 10 second exposure. The Spectre app, on the other hand, did not capture any light on a 30 second exposure — the image was basically black. So, as I wrote, the app simply does not do as it promised.
The built in camera app on any newer iPhone has a very strong night, long exposure mode that blows this app out of the water. This app is a relic from a time past. It shouldn’t be on the app store anymore.
