Splitwise

It just does what’s it’s supposed to do really really well. Highly recommended!

Have finally found an alternative and am quitting using Splitwiese, which has been a huge pain using for the past year when the free version got limitations that made the app practically unusable.

Fundamental features (adding expenses) turned into paid once you've started depending on the app

If you’re on a free plan, you’re only allowed to add 3 expenses per day. The only way to get by is to upgrade to a PRO version, which has no onetime fee but rather a monthly reoccurring payment. This is a joke, it makes zero sense that this is a SaaS rather than just giving me the option to pay once. Giving users a poor experience just to get them to pay for an overpriced premium tier is a really bad idea, in particular since there are 100 of apps just like this one.

It’s a great app with good features but the business people running this company are trying to make money with nasty business practices. You now need to pay a subscription if you want to add a couple expenses one after the other. I’m traveling and splitting expenses with my brother, didn’t write them on splitwise all day. In the evening I managed to add 4 out of the 7 we needed to split before being blocked by splitwise with the message: you’ve reached the limit of expenses for today. Subscribe or come back tomorrow. This makes the app useless for me and I will move on to competition that either has a 1 time purchase price, or has a reasonable free tier.

Löjligt med begränsningar på utgifter.

From nowhere they made is impossible to use the free version of the app. Started limited how many expenses you could add per day and try to force you to get the expensive premium version. Worthless app from now one, try some other app guys!!👎👎
