We entered the app and it said it needed an update but when we went to the App Store to update it there was nothing to update.

Current version: 7.8 This app requires you have the player actively open to listen to audio files. Previously, you were able to play audio like ever other player including being locked and inactive. It also now requires you to utilize an internet explorer to simply update the Release Art and episode number, a previous standard function.

Can’t record, lost all my ad recordings, music, and easy edits! I’m DEVASTATED! I have had my podcast since 2020 and my listeners are waiting for my usual podcasts but I have no idea how or when I can do it. Absolutely useless, heartbreaking and unnecessary. Fix it, please!!!

I have been using this app since 2021. Everything was great and easy to use it. Now it’s over simplified and you can’t upload multiple files or edit on it. Spotify please fix this issue.

I was looking for Anchor FM, where I could record my new podcast in the app/on my phone. I then remembered that Spotify bought Anchor so I downloaded this app. I discovered that I can’t record the podcast in the app/on my phone, I would have to upload it from a file. I don’t know what the point of the app is. I am going to try Buzzsprout

You completely ruined the app for everyone. Bring back the recording options bring back everything you used to have. Taken the easiest recording app out and burned it to the ground.

I’ve been using the app since 2019 with some trouble here and there which didn’t bother me much until I opened the app a couple days ago and noticed they had changed their entire interface. This would’ve been fine, however, it has become INCREASINGLY DIFFICULT to navigate, it has PERMANENTLY DELETED some of my unpublished episodes, it has COMPLETELY REMOVED the editing feature it used to have, and FREEZES every time I open the comments tab. What used to be so simple and easy to do has become all the more MIGRAINE-INDUCING and FRUSTRATING to do. The app is now so bare that it makes bald people look like they have a full head of luscious hair. I can say without a shadow of a doubt I will be adamantly warning others not to use such an app for any podcasting period. This change has been one of the worse changes they’ve made to the app and because of it, I had to delay the launching of a podcast of mine despite spending so much time preparing for its drop. Spotify, you just lost a loyal user of 5 years, I hope this change was worth it on your end.

Can’t record within app anymore … So it’s pretty much useless… Was about to launch my podcast when the app updated … Now I can’t add music or edit anything…. Even if I use another app I would have to upload And download music which adds hours to the process that was really easy with just the tunes you had within the old version … Just decided to cancel the launch and not do podcasting ….
