## Squawster Description
Squawster is the fastest way to listen to live public-safety radio and stay on top of major incidents as they happen.

LISTEN LIVE
• Thousands of live police, fire, EMS, aviation, rail, and weather feeds, powered by Broadcastify.
• Browse by county, state, or metro, search by name, or jump to what's active near you.
• Background audio with lock-screen controls; keep listening while you use other apps.

INCIDENTS, NOT JUST AUDIO
• A nationwide feed of major events — working fires, mass-casualty incidents, aircraft emergencies, hazmat, and more — surfaced the moment they escalate.
• Follow the areas and event types you care about and get a push the instant something breaks.
• Get notified when a feed surges past 5,000 listeners — usually the sign of something big.

SQUAWSTER PRO
Squawster is free to browse and listen. Squawster Pro adds:
• Scan individual Broadcastify Calls talkgroups live.
• Build and manage your own Calls playlists.
• Cloud-sync your favorite feeds across all your devices.
• Listen to archived recordings.
• An ad-free experience.

Squawster Pro is a $4.99/month auto-renewable subscription.

## Squawster Reviews in Vereinigte Staaten

### ****- "Great So Far"
This is a great start on what can be a powerful tool. Ai doesn’t always get the words correctly but, in time I’m sure it will improve.
If you like being in the know, this app is for you. Get alerts for your area. Listen live to radio traffic.
-- WiFiDoorBellGuy, 2026-10-13

### ***** "Totally accessible"
I’m glad they brought an app back. and it is totally accessible for those like myself that use VoiceOver. Everything from just regular listening to accessing archives can be done through this app. The only thing you can’t do is share archived audio from the app directly, but I found no complaints. it’s more user friendly than the third-party scanner apps that are out there as far as navigating
-- Steven 6402, 2026-10-12

### ***** "Works!"
Excellent performance.
-- NJCaptain, 2026-10-12

### ***** "Phenomenal Police Scanner App"
In the last couple of years RadioReference has made massive improvements in its live feeds and calls platform. This app is a great addition to these improvements. Thanks to all at RadioReference.
-- Transit-T, 2026-10-12

### **--- "Agree with others-Step Backward"
It’s hard to believe that I prefer .DOS looking dinosaur of an app, Broadcastify, over this. My biggest gripe right now is the playback controls and inability to view the audio waves on the archives. If it’s there, I have not been able to find it.
-- Rjd572, 2026-10-08

### *---- "Horrible name, mediocre app"
Missing many key features from the previous version of the app (Broadcastify). That it uses the derogatory term “squaw” + ster (implying a gossipy woman of Native American descent) as the name of the app tells you that this is not a well thought out app.
-- User1agtp22w5, 2026-10-05

### *---- "Does the Archive have NO playback controls - RW, FW, timeline slider??!!"
Correct me if I’m mistaken, but I see no playback controls when I click on an Archive. Is that true? Terrible, if so! I’m not going to listen to full length for the one dispatch at minute 25 of 30!!
-- Updraft22, 2026-10-05

### ***** "UPDATED REWIEW: Great app and improving fast"
I originally left 4 stars because Broadcastify Calls coverage and playlist syncing seemed incomplete, but after recent updates it looks like I was just very early to the app. My Calls playlists are now syncing and working well.

A few features I’d love to see:

• Audio ducking/pause: when Apple Music, Spotify, or a podcast is playing, let Squawster pause or lower the audio when a radio call comes in, then resume it afterward.

• Apple CarPlay support: access Calls playlists, favorites, current talkgroup, Hold/Ignore, and basic controls from CarPlay.

• Radiant Glow county watchlist: let users permanently follow any county even when it hasn’t had a major incident in the last 24 hours, with optional alerts when something does happen.

Priority talkgroups, “last heard” indicators, playlist sync status, and Siri/Shortcuts support would also be great.

Overall, Squawster is an awesome idea and has improved very quickly. Combining regular Broadcastify feeds, Calls, custom playlists, and Radiant Glow in one app is excellent. 5 stars and excited to see where it goes.

### ***** "Great app for using nifty calls"
Really enjoy using calls now that the app is here. Just wish we could have more than 50 items selected. One of playlists isn’t super busy and would like to have more selected. Otherwise the system is working fairly well. Does seem that when using calls it does randomly stop playing. Have to either force close and restart or select a random call by hitting play to start it again.
-- Stormtracker22, 2026-10-04

### ***-- "Several issues"
I liked Broadcastify better, so far I heard Alvin and the Chipmunks on my favorite feed(Newington,CT, now tonight? It soooo slow it like our police/fire/ems are stuck in Molasses!!…I should just compete with Scott Greczkowski and broadcast my own feed …I can’t get an accurate speed/audio on my phone…no clue the issue, but I do have my SDS200 scanner, but enjoy listening on my hearing aids on my phone….But if Swuawster can’t figure this out?? I will broadcast my discontent to all of my Paying neighbors.
-- JimmyLavery, 2026-10-04

### *---- "Not good."
This is a significant step backwards from the Broadcastify app.
-- AdamSc123, 2026-10-04

### ***** "Cool"
Liking it so far! Would like to see transcriptions added for law enforcement talk groups to get alerts for them in the future.
-- GrilledCheese92, 2026-09-30

### ***** "Where is the share option?"
Need to add a share button, would like to be able to send links to others.
