This defeats the entire purpose of this app. Sure you can communicate with people who are online and stuff but you will need steam open on another device to see when you get a notification which defeats the point of having an app like this. The UI is decent and is uniform with the standard steam app but the notification issue needs to be addressed soon because it is a major problem.

It lacks basic features a chat app should have:
Ability to read messages when offline
Deleting messages
Sometimes a message will send multiple times or won’t delete when I press send.
If you click onto another chat when sending something to the other it will show as if it’s not sending and usally ends up in me sending the same document many times.
Just not a nice to look at UI

I’m thankful I get to use this to talk to people I’ve lost touch with over numbers but these minor things really annoy me

The chat works okay but why is it a separate app? Why can't it just be integrated in the main Steam app? It's the same with Steam Link. I don't understand why you'd need this separate. It was so funny logging in as it asked for my Steam authenticator code from the main Steam app. It wouldn't need it if it was just integrated in the main Steam app. I am just clueless on why it's separate. I can't possibly think of any substantial excuses for this poor business decision.

Can’t use this App as I click on the chat box and no keyboard turns up!?!? What’s the point of having a chat facility if you don’t supply a means for people to chat???
It’s bizarre, nonsensical and, as another reviewer put it, it’s not like they don’t have the money to release a working app!!

Only gets 1 star as can’t put a big fat zero!!
