StopTheScript is the only Safari extension that stops inline JavaScript on the web page as well as externally loaded JavaScript. This is in contrast to Safari content blockers, which can only block external JavaScript, not inline JavaScript. StopTheScript is made by indie developer Jeff Johnson. You can’t whitelist and it won’t let websites load any embedded JavaScript, which basically every website has. It does not block cookie notifications at all. The goal and the claim here is to block java popups that are initially hidden but arrive after a few seconds asking for an email or subscription, but it’s a blunt instrument that blocks ALL java content from websites without the ability to whitelist, rendering it effectively worthless. -- LouRater, 2023-07-17 ### ***** "Edit rules in app" Would it be possible to allow editing rules within the application? There is an application named ‘Pro Script’ on the AppStore that allows this. It would be much easier to be able to do that. As well as import external rules. Lastly, ‘Pro Script’ allows blocking document, image, style-sheet, script, font, raw, svg-document, media, pop up, ping, fetch, web socket, and ‘other’.
