Amazing App!!!

I have been using this app for months and I love it. I have a kindle and I buy books from Amazon. But to be honest goodreads has nothing on this app. Goodreads is cluttered and messy whereas this app is clean and sharp. Also I like how it gives me a graph of the books I read and it’s very interesting!!The free version is amazing, and I like that we aren’t forced to pay for the premium version. I might pay for premium as I use it more. The app is amazing keep up the great work!!! I like supporting an independent business that isn’t owned by Amazon.

I was not great at tracking my reading on GoodReads but this app is so easy to use and kinda fun (in a nerdy way) that I am pretty religious about updating it. I used it for free for a long time but very recently switched to the paid version since I loved it already so much, and the paid version is everything. I love adding little tags as I read and creating new graphs (like spice level)

I absolutely love this app! It shows some really good breakdowns of the data, and I find it to be more user-friendly than a lot of other apps intended for the same use. I’m just eagerly awaiting a screen widget!

Review engagement?

I love this app and I love having an independent alternative to goodreads! Love the graphs and stats and review features. But I would LOVE to be able to react to other reviews (maybe even comment on them?)!! Personally I love an audience and I love reviewing things, so I'd looove the engagement and community building aspect of being able to interact with others who I may (or may not) agree with :)

Almost perfect

Love the look and simplicity of this app. If it had just a few things, it would be perfect for me. I would love the ability to make custom lists such as “Summer Reading List” rather than just the “To Read” option. It would be great to be able to message friends on the app to share reading lists, reviews, etc without leaving the app. I wish it tracked the stats for total pages read and had an hourly tracker as well. Lastly, a small tweak I’d appreciate is if I could see the overall star-rating of the book at first glance, rather than having to click on the book and then scroll all the way down to the end to see it.

Very happy

While I still use Goodreads, I’ve largely switched to StoryGraph because I heard users could offer partial star ratings and the app offered graph breakdowns of what users were reading. That was all true, but what I also find super helpful is that StoryGraph also allows users to track reading in different editions of books and DNF books. Also, as an aside, I haven’t had any issues on StoryGraph where my progress doesn’t update immediately, which is a perennial issue on Goodreads. I’m a very happy customer.

Best book tracking app

I’ve been using StoryGraph for a couple years now and it is excellent. I’ve gotten better recommendations from the app than any other book tracking app I’ve tried.

Best Book Tracking App

I love reading and I am always looking for my next book. I have unhappily used kindle, and Goodreads as ways to track my reading and get recommendations for new books. The Goodreads interface is terrible and the constant app crashes make it very frustrating to use for anything. In addition both kindle and Goodreads are constantly recommending the same books over and over. StoryGraph has been a true joy to use! An absolute game changer in the book tracking app realm! I have been using it for all of this year and it’s so easy, so user friendly! I’ve been able to read more than ever because the recommendations are new and tailored to my reading habits. I’ve written reviews for books, added books, and I’ve been adding the dates for my reading because it’s so easy. Not to mention all the cool data and graphs I have about my year of reading! I am so excited I’ve been telling everyone I know about this app!

great in some ways, still needs work

this is a super helpful app to track reading, and i’ve been using it since 2021. however, adding books to storygraph is an absolute nightmare. i have to do this far more often than i ever did with goodreads, and never once have i been able to do so without adding all the information manually. the barcode scanning feature very rarely works, and often asks me if i want to import by isbn. i also have to do this often with books i’m reading for school, which i want to be able to track. however, i have tried to import books by isbn over 100 times and it has not worked once. when i try, all i get is a notification several days later saying it didn’t work. it makes it difficult and time consuming to add books which aren’t commonly shelved. overall i like storygraph more than goodreads but having this feature be totally useless is really detracting from my ability to use this app

Hope you read this! 🫣

Great app. I’m still using Goodreads, but I had an idea that, first, I don’t know if it’s possible, and second, I don’t know if anyone has mentioned it to you before. As I read in one of the reviews, the company (which is excellent) is a “one-man show.” I think this could greatly improve the experience for us readers. One of the pros of Kindle is that, as you read, the progress is automatically updated in Goodreads. Additionally, you can rate with stars and leave your review directly from the Kindle without needing to use another device. I ultimately decided to leave the Kindle ecosystem because they try to keep you tied to them as much as possible, making the experience very limiting. So I recently switched to Kobo. It would be great if StoryGraph partnered with Kobo to allow their devices to connect directly with our StoryGraph account. This way, we could do the same from our eReader. I think it would be a win-win for both companies, as I like the Kobo ecosystem and its principles, and I also like StoryGraph. For now, both work separately, which is annoying. After reading for a while, having to look for my phone, which I sometimes don’t have on hand, to upload any updates or leave a review is inconvenient. I don’t know, just something that came to mind. Cheers.
