Great idea, poor execution

Great on so many levels. Helps me space out my looks with the calendar. Usually when I am in a hurry, I used to just grab stuff from my cupboard and throw it on, only to reach work and realize that I should have mixed things and accessories a little differently. It's also helping me rationalize my shopping- I know what my wardrobe is worth, what's in it, what it needs and more importantly what it doesn't need more of. (Like black clothes. I have way too many) The only thing missing is that it doesn't give you suggestions on what you could mix and match from within your own closet. If a little AI could be added there- merely as suggestions or recommendations, this will be the perfect style app!
I wish I hadn’t invested so much time into this app because it just feels really out of date. The photo editor tool is nearly useless - most of the time I remove the background in Canva because it does a better job. The interface is clunky and time consuming when putting outfits together (you have to start back at closet items and tap through all of your sub genres to get to the next item of clothing) and there’s no end game for when you want to remove items from your closet. If you delete something when it becomes old, damaged or worn out, it gets deleted from your calendar history. I was looking back at outfits I had worn in the past and couldn’t figure out how I had put together an outfit without pants until I realized it was because I had deleted the pants from my library. This app needs a big update (and probably did when I downloaded it), and I kind of doubt that’s ever going to happen at this point. If I hadn’t already invested so much time into this one I would definitely invest in something else.
I absolutely LOVE this app! I use this app so often to put outfits together, log the outfits I love and delete the ones I don’t feel good in. I’m able to know what I have my closet in my hand when I go shopping so I don’t buy things too similar or I’m able to temporarily put something in to see if it would go with other items in my closet and decide before buying. I’m also able to see how often I wear certain items and decide if they’re ready to be retired from my closet, keeping my closet decluttered and organized. I love using the LTK app for outfit inspiration. I’m able to screen shot the ideas, load them into Stylebook, and curate outfits to recreate the looks I love. I am also notorious for seeing someone out with a cute outfit and trying to remember what items I have in my closet to recreate the look. With this app I can recreate the outfit on the spot and not forget by the time I get home. It is a tedious process to get your wardrobe into the app, but I promise it’s worth it. I add newly purchased items before putting them in my closet or as I’m putting away clean laundry. I lay my item on my white comforter, snap a picture and then tap and hold on the item in the picture which traces the out line of the item giving me a crisp picture of just the item (iOS feature) and select copy. I then go to Stylebook, tap on the perspective folder and tap the + to paste the item from my photo I copied. (Easier than it sounds, promise!) I love being about to sit on my down time, usually at night, and put outfits together for future days and log them on the calendar in the app. It’s helped getting ready so much easier instead of the whole “I don’t know what to wear today” scenario. If you take your time and be patient putting your items in, you won’t regret it!
I ve been using the Stylebook app for many years. I still don’t know all the features. It’s great for packing. I rarely forget anything on my trips since I’ve started packing with it. It’s great when I’m shopping to remind me I already have 5 striped short sleeve shirts. I love creating outfits and looks. And the inspiration feature helps me remember things I want or need. I would love it if the apps could automatically sync between my iPads and my phone. But they don’t. So I end up transferring them by WiFi accept usually. This can be tedious when creating new looks and I’ve noticed that I often get doubles of some items. I probably didn’t use the exact words in a description or something. But it throws off the counter for items and makes it more difficult to keep track. I usually go through and compare the items on my phone and iPad to see if I have the same number of items on each. I’d also love it if there was a way to distinguish looks other than by numbers. I often create looks ahead of time then input them into the calendar later when I actually wear them. It’s not always easy to find the outfit for this and I end up with multiples. I really appreciate the app and enjoy using it on a daily basis. I also appreciate the low onetime price. Thanks!
I never take the time to review apps and I made a point to do it for this one. I’m obsessed. There are so many well thought out features, it’s well organized and the photo editing tool is by far better than some others I’ve tried on similar apps. Cataloging my items and creating outfits in this app has become my new hobby. I find that I’m wearing more of what’s in my closet and buying less because it’s so much easier to see and work with what I already have.
I’ve had—and loved—this app for years but as I dig into it more and more, I’m continually amazed by its usefulness! Just discovered the checklists in packing and the ways you can share or print them. Amazing and worth every small penny this app cost!! Thank you!
Love the app, have been logging my clothes for 100 days now! Has really helped me see what I do and don’t wear. When shopping, it helps me remember exactly what something at home looks like and if I may or may not need something. Only wish they would change, is the ability to select multiple fabric types instead of entering a new list. VERY RARELY are clothes one fabric type now, and it’d be nice to have that reflected more easily in the app.
I kinda love it. But needs a few things. For the love of god make a desktop app. Would be great to allow multiple pics for an item (e.g., when the back is what’s interesting about something). Also would be amazing if the photo editing allowed for tap to fill back in not just erase areas. Finally, price should have retail vs paid.
I like the app. I love that I can browse the store through the internet through the app itself. The features are cool too, like the calendar, and adding the cost per item, etc. However, there are a couple of things that could be improved. I found that editing a photo after uploading has been difficult. For example, I was able to find a decent product photo of one of my tops but there were other items in the photo that I wanted to remove. So I tried to edit after the fact and it wasn’t easy. You have to click on the the photo or product then click on edit, then click on edit image. When I get to the edit image screen, I noticed that there isn’t a crop option. If this existed I wouldn’t have to use the erase feature as often and just for the details. Also, on my iPad it locks my screen longways. Can we have the option of using it the other way too if needed? I understand it reduces the size of the screen but as an option it would be nice. Otherwise, it’s a nice app to use. I am still working through it and uploading photos so am not sure yet if outfits can be shared over wifi but so far so good. I kind of wish that once connected over the same wifi the changes I make to my iPhone can transfer automatically to my iPad, but not sure if it is wishful thinking at this point.
