I’m not reviewing the mobile app, as I barely use the mobile version other than checking my schedule. I plan and manage everything on my desktop. Holy cow, is this my literal lifeline. I used it a while ago for the free trial and loved it but decided it was too expensive as a college student. But a year later research and university ramped up and I need to be way more intentional with my time. I remembered how great it was and I’ve been using it since and let me tell you. My workload? Double than normal. My stress levels? Halved. I actually know when I’m going to do things, and plan them out in a way that I know works for ME. This is not an all-in-one app, though, and shouldn’t be treated as such. I keep a notion page for deadlines for projects and due dates for homeworks, and then come to Sunsama to plan how I’m gonna tackle it all. Yes it’s expensive, but I would honestly give up two meals a month to make up for the price tag, that’s how much I’ve come to rely on it. 10/10 for a busy stem girl
We want Apple Watch support!
I have autism, and Sunsama is one of the only systems I've tried that can work for me for extended periods of time. Even though it's not meant for habit tracking, putting my routines in here and being able to check minuscule things off on my phone is like the only way I can stay on track. Otherwise, I can't mentally keep track of what small action goes between each daily task, or even which things to do first. I've had a lot of trouble with being late and unprepared and overwhelmed because of that but Sunsama makes it so easy for me to see what comes next after every little step.
Remember the days when you could straight out by an app and Microsoft 360 and just own it and you were willing to pay a premium one time price? It seems those days are over and there’s no way I would pay $16 a month for this app after I downloaded it and checked it out. That’s $192 a year. Let us know when you get the price down to something reasonable for what you’re offering.
It seems like a nicely designed product, but it is quite expensive per month, with no mention of a monthly charge list in the App Store
Beautiful and immensely practical companion app to a beautiful and immensely practical core program/application. Still in the beginning stages of trying it out as someone with severe ADHD, but so far it shows a wonderful amount of promise and the interface itself is gorgeous without distracting and streamlined but powerful. At first I worried it’d be too expensive but the more I learn and explore and implement these workflows the more I see where that money goes. The creators should be very proud of themselves, and I can’t wait to see how Sunsama evolves.
Sunsama absolutely revolutionized how I organize and plan my day. I love that it optimizes for shortcuts. It integrates beautifully with so many other tools I use. The timers and stats have been incredibly helpful.I just adore absolutely everything about this app. I primarily use the desktop but often use my phone if I’m on the go. I’ve even started using Sunsama for my personal tasks. It’s so thoughtfully designed and I love the ability to customize the colors in the app.
This was a 5 star app for me, however, when I went to sign up for a subscription things changed a bit. I noticed that when I enter a task now an actual time has to be put on each task and once that time passes the task is no longer in its place. I think this is because when you arrange your tasks it’s delayed in updating and could revert back. I prefer the task to remain and then roll over if not completed. Also, using a desktop for the app wasn’t required previously and I’m not sure why that’s a thing and also should be optional but it’s not terrible I guess. I loved the app and recommended it in my ADHD groups because it was so great, but with the changes I’m not sure how anyone else will feel.
The companion app continues to improve over time and they even have an iPad version which works pretty good. I am rating this on the overall software capabilities and not just the iOS app. Overall without the companion and additional web/desktop app, my work/life balance would be much harder to achieve. This is not a to do list app, this is a daily and weekly planner app.
