Step Discrepancies and Unfair Tracking
I’ve been using the Sweat Wallet app to track my steps and convert them into rewards. However, my recent experiences have been extremely frustrating, and I’m compelled to write this review to highlight a significant issue that undermines the app’s purpose and credibility. The Problem: Missing Steps and Stalled Tracking On January 1, 2025, I tracked approximately 27,000 steps using my Garmin Fenix 7 Solar, which is synced with the Health app on my iPhone. While Garmin and Apple Health already showed some discrepancies (with Health recording only 21,000 steps), Sweat Wallet fell drastically short. It stalled my step count right before my daily goal of 18,900 steps, effectively preventing me from earning rewards for the rest of my activity. This issue isn’t a one-time occurrence. As a patrol guard who walks extensively throughout my shifts, I routinely reach and exceed my daily step goals. Yet, Sweat Wallet consistently fails to accurately credit all my steps. Key Issues 1. Step Miscounting and Stalling: • Sweat Wallet appears to intentionally stop counting steps as users approach their daily goals. This has happened multiple times, which raises serious doubts about whether steps are being capped or deliberately uncounted to limit payouts. 2. Lack of Synchronization Accuracy: • My Garmin watch syncs flawlessly with Apple Health, yet Sweat Wallet seems to arbitrarily discount steps. There is no clear explanation for the significant discrepancies. 3. No Accountability or Dispute Mechanism: • Sweat Wallet provides no option to dispute uncounted steps or verify data from third-party trackers like Garmin. For an app designed to reward steps, this lack of transparency and user support is unacceptable. 4. Lost Rewards: • By failing to credit all legitimate steps, Sweat Wallet denies users their rightful rewards. For someone like me, who relies on accurate tracking to earn rewards, this is deeply disappointing. Requested Actions 1. Step Reimbursement: • Immediately review and credit my missing steps for this day and any others where legitimate activity has been disregarded. 2. Improve Device Synchronization: • Enhance integration with third-party trackers like Garmin and Apple Health to ensure accurate and real-time step conversion. 3.
