## SwellMap Boat Description
SwellMap Boat is based on our popular website SwellMap.co.nz providing you with the latest marine weather predictions for hundreds of boating and fishing locations across New Zealand.

SwellMap forecasts are highly accurate and reliable. Forecasts are generated using the latest atmospheric and oceanographic numerical models providing updated information four times daily.

SwellMap provides the following features:

- 7 day sea and wind forecast graphs to make interpreting the boating conditions ahead easy.
- SwellMap boat ratings.
- Detailed daily forecasts providing ratings, summaries, sea height, sea direction, swell height, swell direction, swell period, chop height, tides, wind, gusts, sea temperature, sunset and sunrise. 
- Forecast maps of rain/pressure, temperature, wind, wave height, wave period and sea temperature.
- Save your favourite spot forecasts.
- Alerts providing you with notifications when locations are forecasted to match your preferred boating conditions.

For an advert free experience of the app you can purchase a monthly subscription. Payment will be charged to iTunes account at confirmation of purchase.

Subscription will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the current cost of the renewal.

Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's account settings on their iPhone/iPad after purchase.

I’ve paid for the subscription to get rid of ads but am finding the forecasts update much less frequently than the web version (e.g. web version updated at 4:11pm, and app not since 10:11am) - is this a bug or a feature?

What I would love to see is a map overlay with names of the various places / points of interest. For new starters it can be a mystery what area the forecast applies to. At the very least the map tab should have a “locate me” button or a way of seeing where I am.

The first comment I want to make is that I absolutely LOVE the Swell Map website. These guys do the very best weather forecasting for boaties and I have been waiting for an app for ages. 

I was so excited when I stumbled across it in the App Store. Doesn't have all the functionality of the website but it has enough. Tide times would be a great addition.

Also I HATE the ads at the bottom - it cheapens the whole app. I didn't pay over a thousand dollars for my nice new iPhone to have the screen real estate wrecked with ads. Please give us the choice of a pro version to remove the ads - I will gladly pay an appropriate price to remove these from my life!

Overall a great start guys. Cheers and tight lines!
