## Swim Stopwatch Description
Swim Stopwatch is an app created for swim coaches by a high school swim coach.  The intent is to solve problems associated with timing multiple swimmers/relays in the pool at one time.

Swim Stopwatch's unique and original layout allows a single coach to time all of their swimmers while also freeing them up to focus on the race and not their watch.  All you need to do is hit the large button which creates individual split boxes for each split time.  You watch the race and hit the button whenever you need a split, then while swimmers are swimming their next leg you take a short moment to drag their split time to the appropriate lane and split number.  Swim Stopwatch will calculate the split and cumulative times for you so that you don't have to do any math.

As a high school coach, this app is great. I can run my system6 and actually coach at the same time. The kids can use it and help me out as well. It makes doing math so simple / because it does it for you. There are occasional bugs and I can’t quite figure out how to pre-log and save events - but it’s way better than using 3 stopwatches at the same time.

I have loved this app at my fingertips as a coach for the past 4 years!!!  The only thing I’d improve is being able to see 4-6 lanes AT ONCE (so make the rows half as wide). I like to duplicate the splits every other wall so that I have both 50’s and 100’s splits.  I can get 3 swimmers in a heat but once I have to scroll up and down for 3+ swimmers per heat, it gets muddled (I lose track).  Otherwise, this is a fantastic tool!!!

This is set up to be the perfect app with just a few fixes. The stopwatch carryovers are buggy as heck and sometimes the clock is running but the stop / clear button doesn’t change resulting in Random Timing Events (RTE).  There needs to be quicker access to the events list without having to click twice to get in and out. When kids come to me after their event, I need to be able to quickly look back at their splits and get the times of the current swimmers. 

We need to be able to clear the swimmer names and times separately if an RTE happens. We need to be able to set up heat pages within the event to snap between lane set ups.

I use this app during my masters swim practices. It helps give a visual rather than shouting numbers across the pool. It’s so easy to use, I love the big button so I can watch flip turns and finishes without looking at my device. Multiple lanes, events , labeling, and email support makes for the perfect assistant. Never use a stopwatch again! Swimmeetmaker is also game changing. I believe made by the same developer.

This is a great app when timing multiple swimmers in a heat.  It calculates the splits well and with the paid version, I can pre-enter all my swimmers and their events ahead of time - I LOVE THAT.  And after a meet, I can email the results to my acct - brilliant idea.  One thing I don't like is that every time I open the app or switch events the timer is still going.  Why doesn't it stop?  I have pressed stop at the end of the race and I get the end time of my swimmers races fine; however, the timer just keeps going.  So prior to every race I have to reset it, this sometimes fouls me up with timing a race.  This app has saved me as a coach!  Thanks.

This app is fantastic.  Works great on the iPhone, even better on an iPad.  The upgrade is worth every penny.  You can put in events, names of swimmers, and email all results out after.  As a coach, it's easy to let a student use the iPad and get all of our splits in relays, splits on 500s, and send our results to ourselves and our colleagues.

This is a very useful app! I use it during practice to help take splits for time trials for my athletes. My only suggestion would be that it needs to have a feature where you can either save all the splits for a particular race to go back and review, or to add a feature where you can email all the splits for a race to the athletes. If those features were available, I would definitely be using this app exclusively at meets and practice.

I gotta hand it to the developer of this app.  I forgot my stopwatch at my last high school meet and decided to give this a try on my iPad.  It turned out this might be the most well thought out stopwatch I have used.  The meet I was at also happened to have a glitch with their timing system so the scoreboard wasn't working. I had no trouble whatsoever getting splits on three swimmers in the 500 in the same heat.  Absolutely brilliant app.  I plan to recommend it on my blog.  BRAVO.

This app is awesome!!!!    I am a High School Track/Cross Country coach and used this in practice yesterday.  Very simple, easy, effective.  I love it!!!! ### ***** "Simple and effective timer!"
I found this app yesterday before a swim practice.  It fits three of my necessary requirements I like in a timer:

1) simple: I think the no-need-to-look start/split button is perfect.  Great for keeping my eyes on the swimmers while clocking the times.

2) simple: being able to drag the split times easily and smoothly into their perspective slots quickly during races helps for easy organization.

3) simple: easy to look at and see what's happening.  Nothing on the screen is distracting or overwhelming.  It's the meat and potatoes of what is needed for successful race time keeping.
