TargetScan - Pistol & Rifle

So far it seems a well functioning tool for a shooting diary. I have just bought it so I am still evaluating. However, I would like to have landscape view in iPad. It is a nuisance to have to tilt the unit just to use this app. Especially when I need to compare with my traditional photos of the targets. The license price is quite hefty. According to older reviews there may be more expenses further on. If so, I will look for another solution.

I have been using the app for some years now, and I am confident to recommend it for all pistol shooters with the need to record scores for various targets. It is also valuable when developing new reloads due to the evaluation of group size and spread. Without background lighting, depending on caliber and bullet type, it cannot find all bullet holes, which I fully understand. In such cases it is easy to add them manually. With .38 SWC and a bright background, such as snow, it is flawless! The printed reports are very nice, although this is a feature I have not been using much, it might prove valuable as gun laws and license requirements are getting tougher as requiring more evidence of performance or similar. I like the heat maps and graphs, but most of all to keep track of my performance over time-on single hit level. My experience is mainly from the international ISSF 25 m precision target and calibers in the range between .22” - .50”. I have been in brief contact with the developers a few times, and it has always been a good experience. If you need the functionality it offers, don’t hesitate to buy the app!

Easy to use and a very helpful tool to log and analyze your training sessions

This one app has replaced my paper shooting logg and it is doing a sterling job. It is easy to document the results and the excellent report and export functions means I can brows every single session, series by series using the summaries sent to notes on my phone/pad.

Extraordinary functions. Imorovement areas: *Add IPSC-targets *Improve photoscanning function sensivity *Add function. Make possible to add bullet holes on the targetphoto or afterwards. *Make an extra function adding ammunition brand/specifications manually connected to individually shooting session (valuable to look at while testing different ammonution on same gun). *Make heatmap possible sorted on specific gun & ammo.

Excellent app for the shooting range, both competition and training

Funkar sådär. Har svårt att hitta hålen ibland. Får hjälpa till lite för mycket. Saknar 2 tavlors versionen.

Hjälper till med skyttedagbok och statistik över träffbild. Gör det den ska med ett enkelt intuitivt användargränssnitt. Den automatiska tolkningen har för mig fungerat utan problem.
