I tried this app for the first time for cleaning of my home. I booked based on the rate specified rate at $42/hr. The app said they would charge a $7/hour fee for trust and support. The cleaner was great but I was surprised when I got the bill. There was another $7/hour hidden service fee and an undiscussed expense fee of $85. Beware that what you see on the booking page will not be what your actually charged

I can use this app on my iPad, but on my iPhone, I have it with an old password saved. If I skip the saved password and try to input manually, my keyboard stops responding, and I can’t input anything.

Also, the section for hanging something up as a task needs a separate sun-section for drilling concrete to hang something up, many taskers don’t seem prepared to deal with concrete, and there’s no way to filter for those who are prepared.

Someone recommended this app and I scheduled to task people. Both cancelled that last minute and I adjusted my schedule both times. The fact that there’s no accountability is nonsense but if I missed it, apparently I would’ve been charged those task. People should have more accountability for this app to be useful for someone like me.

I recently used TaskRabbit for what should have been a straightforward job: installing a light fixture and two towel holders. Unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. The tasker performed both tasks during the same visit, but I was unexpectedly charged for two separate two-hour minimum sessions, resulting in a bill that was almost double what I expected.

At no point did TaskRabbit or the tasker clearly communicate that these tasks would be billed separately, even though they were done consecutively in one session. The total cost was exorbitant—$180 for a light fixture installation and $160 for mounting two towel holders—far beyond what is reasonable for such simple tasks.

To make matters worse, when I raised these concerns with TaskRabbit, they implied that my lack of immediate objection during the task was consent to the charges. This feels like a classic case of poor communication leading to an unfair billing practice.

I would advise anyone considering TaskRabbit to be extremely cautious and clarify all billing details upfront, as the company seems to prioritize profit over transparency and customer satisfaction. Sadly, I cannot recommend TaskRabbit based on this experience.

I contacted an electrician who came and tried to fix the issue but he had no idea how to fix it. He asked me to watch YouTube for solutions. Also charged me for an hour or work saying he can not leave without charging. When I contacted task rabbit they didn’t care at all and offered a store credit of $30 which pays nothing for any service here. Contacting their customer service is such a worst process ever. Days of wait time to get an answer, which will be useless. Also who is going to use this platform again. Such a horrible service from both Taskrabbit and their people.
