Track recordings can be saved and resumed anytime at a later date. Tect O Trak is a work in progress. This very specialised app was crowd funded through Kickstarter, and is developed and maintained by members of the Facebook metal detecting community. You can play a part and have your say on how the app is developed in the future by joining the Facebook group:- Tect O Trak iOS is a not for profit community project. All revenue raised from sales, will be used to maintain and develop the application further. This was in response to me looking for a tool to help me mark my finds on a map for the landowner who has given me permission to detect. This app is fantastic for marking finds, but to add into the bargain I can map out the area I’m allowed in and it saves the route I have taken to help me plan my next trip. I did make some errors initially and found this frustrating, however this was purely down to my dislike of actually reading instructions manuals. To get the best out the app, read the instructions! I’ve also asked for help on things and the developer has responded in a timely and helpful manner. I detect near a mobile phone mast and previous free apps have been impacted on by this marking my finds miles (no exaggeration!) from where I was, however so far no problem with this app! -- JoW-L, 2020-12-29 ### ***** "Helpful app" This app is great to mark boundaries and log your finds. This app is perfect for boundary marking permissions and for keeping track of those elusive hotspots. Whilst the gps likely varies from location to location and whether you’ve got your phone tucked safely away to keep the rain off, the accuracy is still really good. I personally use the app when I’m being meticulous on fields to give me an idea where I’ve been. I also use the finds recording, a brilliant tool, for recording the VDI from my AT Max or CTX for future reference.
