– Heat or cool your car before driving – even if it's in a garage
– Lock or unlock from afar
– Locate your vehicle with directions or track its movement
– Send an address from your favourite apps to start navigation in your car
– Allow your passengers to quickly control media
– Flash lights or beep the horn to find your vehicle when parked
– Vent or close the panoramic roof
– Summon your vehicle out of your garage or a tight parking space (for vehicles with Autopilot)
– Update your vehicle software from wherever you are
– Engage with Powerwall: monitor how much energy is stored from solar, used by your home or exported to the grid
– Download your solar production and battery usage data

The battery itself is fine, the very limited controls in the app are frustrating and result in far less than optimal battery usage. For example despite being set to time of day usage, instead of charging using off peak it starts the day at 11%. There is no way my solar will cover my needs for the day. So I’m a model 3 owner & I have a Powerwall 3. This app is awesome, I can control everything from the one app, very cool.

I just have 2 suggestions:

1: The app’s dark appearance is cool for the most part, but trying to use it outside in the sunlight can be difficult. Please dudes, not everyone has a phone screen that can put out 3000nits, let’s have a mode that mirrors the phone’s day/night/auto mode?

2: I’m with a power company which sometimes has a negative feed in tariff for grid imports, but there’s no way in the app other than going offline to stop exporting to the grid. This can be really annoying during days where grid imports figures move regularly. What would be great is just an option to switch off grid imports manually/automatically, or specify that you do not wish to export when the tariff is negative. Time based control doesn’t do this.

No direct Powerwall 3 LAN access. Very disappointed after the fact, can’t exactly refund my Powerwall. Going cloud only is no good. The app itself has good data and is thorough, which is what I like. The user experience can be polished up a bit like, having to scroll up and down in order to see the BACK button? Why can’t there be a bunch of static buttons with an option to full screen? Yeah, scrolling  screens up and down is annoying. If there were a way to submit this through another means, I would write this review.

Hands down the Tesla app is far more functional (feature driven), intuitive but a huge benefit of the Tesla app is the speed, it instantly executes the command from phone to car…the competition you can go make a coffee waiting for it to complete a command.
