TfL Go: Plan, Pay, Travel

I must admit at this point that this is the most beneficial app I have ever used on my mobile phone. I am someone who does not rely on mobile phone apps because of the complexities involved and unnecessary ads. I get easily bored with phone apps. However, since my first visit to London, I have developed a special interest in tfl. As a first timer then, tfl made my journey around London very easy and smooth. App is user friendly, well detailed and yet simple to use, projects real time data and helpful at all times. I have come to rely completely on tfl whenever I am in London. Great job, great app, and a great nation. God saves the king! Thank you all

Love the simplicity and clarity in the app, but it is missing one really obvious feature: offline directions. I, like many users I imagine downloading this, am visiting London and do not have a roaming data plan on my phone. It would be so easy to have the app understand how to direct you from station A to B without needing to be connected to the internet; so why doesn’t it? Basically makes it useless for tourists. Would also be helpful to include a key on the map to show line names and zones.

Could a future update include zones on the map as well?

i use this app for my daily commute to London university and its so handy!! perfect app!

Quality service from this app

This app lies to you all the time you turn up to a stop and watch it count to “due” then doesn’t show but the next one is 15 mins away you watch that time down the bus turns up and then goes out of service. If you’re going say the info is “ live” at least be honest with the info you’re supplying.

One of the finest transport apps there is, well thought out, well designed and well executed. Hats off to the team behind it.

Forced to download the app as the website will not show the map of the tube on status updates showing which lines are unavailable and guess what this app doesn’t do that either

Try it at home till you know where to type the from and to. And how to revert to the screen where you start a new trip or variation on your plan. Once you are used to the screens it is easy to use and has loads of optional detail like maps of walking routes for the end of the journey or expected departure time for the next bus
