For the content I’d give 6 out of 5. Unfortunately the app doesn’t deliver. Scrolling feed is lagging on both iPhone 15 Pro and iPad Pro. Second thing is that even with multiple devices and different account which I tried to test I’m not able to get push notifications - they’re on in app settings, they are on in system yet they are not working. Raised that with support but they chose to ignore. Unlucky :(
Cant log in and im still paying for this
My life before The Athletic was filled with sifting through regurgitated dross on news aggregator sites; purporting to have ITK sources for the next big transfer stories. Now I can enjoy well-written, informative articles that are well-researched, informed and provide tactical context. Perfect for football geeks everywhere.
Would be perfect if there was a greater selection of users’ favourite teams across Europe. Regardless, one of the best sports apps out there.
After reading a lengthy article, the app goes right back to the top, thereby losing my place on what to read next. Please fix this
I pay for The Athletic directly (and they just charged my card for the renewal), but I keep getting articles blocked saying they are only for paid subscribers. I AM a paid subscriber. If this keeps happening, I will cancel my account and get my money back. Why bother paying if I can’t use the app.
The comments section are filled with amount of know it alls that likely have never been successful at anything in their life. Just the comment sections alone make me regret getting a year subscription upfront
I can’t figure out how to flyer out all of the baseball, hockey and soccer stories, which I don’t care about.
I’m disappointed with the subpar product and repeated attempts to trick me into buying more expensive subscriptions.
Good luck getting them to let you cancel…
