Not a bad app, has gotten better over the years. One massive very simple feature it lacks is a dark mode or night mode. If you open the app to read the news in bed first thing in the morning your eyes scolded with bright white light. 
Please add this to the app.

Hi,
Just wanted to provide some feedback about the app. What is the purpose of downloading the paper, if you can’t load the app at all without an internet connection?
Eg. I downloaded the paper for offline reading, boarded my flight, only to find I can’t even open the app because it wants an internet connection simply to open the app. It keeps saying “retry, no internet connection”.
Even if I tap and hold on the app, and select “today’s paper” after having downloaded today’s paper, it still only prompts for “retry, no internet connection” continuously.

I was told that I paid for a 12 month contract and the cancellation fee would equate to the monthly subscription so they suggested I should stay subscribed. Absolutely ridiculous service.
