Aggiornamento agosto 2024. Da quasi un anno o forse di più, nonostante diversi aggiornamenti, l'app è lenta, smette di rispondere per qualche secondo e rende sgradevole la fruizione degli altrimenti ottimi articoli e contenuti dell'Economist. Anche la funzione audio presenta problemi, ogni tanto bloccandosi e lamentando misteriosi problemi (ma basta riprovare a riprodurre il contenuto e riprende… boh). Non sto usando dispositivi vecchi (uno di questi è un iPad M1) e non ho problemi con altre app; non aiuta eliminare e reinstallare l'app (ed eliminare la cache è impossibile). Molto comodo poter ascoltare la versione audio, con voci di qualità eccellente. Ovviamente, sempre sul pezzo dal punto di vista dei contenuti e dello stile inimitabile. Apprezzo molto anche il morning Espresso, che fornisce ogni mattina le notizie più importanti e immediate.

It’s very frustrating I cannot retrieve the full list of articles I saved on my devices, because every device is displaying only the articles saved in that device. E.g. if I save an article on the iPhone app I can’t find it in the “saved” section on the iPad app. l consider it as an unmissable feature.

Da qualche giorno

This app is just a slow web browser, nothing else. It doesn't really save the login, lose bookmarks and it's incredibly slow on iPhone 14. Offline contents doesn't work if you have a flaky connection because it tries to go to the internet but data exchange never ends. Given the price of subscription... save the budget for app developers and give them to journalists. No reason to have an app which is the bad useless copy of the website

No feedback on the content but please improve your app! It’s quite slow and does not flow very well.

The app keeps crashing and became noticeably slow when available. Content remains excellent but the possibility to read articles on the go has become very frustrating

I have been using this app for years without issues but recently it has started to slow down a lot and even crashes when using audio.

purtroppo devo dargli una stella. Mi piacerebbe usare questa nuova app ma purtroppo ogni volta che abbandono la lettura il giorno dopo mi tocca daccapo andar a cercare l’articolo e dove ero arrivato. molto frustrante. Fintanto che non sistemano questo bug continuerò ad usare la vecchia app

The content of the Economist is unbeatable (although year subscription price could be lowered a bit, 300usd/year is nearly elitarian..) but the app needs some improvement, for example on the Search (often get stuck)

Great journalism. Useful app. Yardstick for any attempt of audio edition. The interaction between audio and text remains to be improved.
