However it jumps ahead or forward, effectively losing where you left off, forcing you to scroll up or down to get you back to where you want to be. How can a publication that considers itself Ireland’s premium newspaper stand over such a garbage app for so many years? Is the developer a friend of somebody senior at the IT? This app seems to also reflect the decline in the quality of the paper itself, which now seems to be more a collection of articles by the same journalists repeating their known views over and over again. Kind of. - if you lose internet connectivity the story you are reading will abruptly disappear with a black “lost connection” screen. When connectivity is restored you are punted back to the homepage. There is zero reason for either of these infuriating behaviours. - when you click another story from the story you are reading (and so on) there is no shortcut to return to the homepage. Everything else on my phone works perfectly. And they increased the subscription charges for this!
