The Vault - Security Made Easy

I've been using The Vault for years and it has protected all of my information without any problems. When I ask for Support they are right there. No, I can't get through by phone but they do respond to email. I admit that I just use a small part of the vault to save a bit of information. As I look over their settings and directions, I do see that The Vault provides much more than I use, and should you should explore all of that. Highly recommended!!

I’ve downloaded the Vault app and use it religiously. I convinced my husband to give it a try. We paid for Secure Sync but I was having trouble getting it to connect to his device. I emailed customer service and received a very detailed reply which allowed me to sync with ease. I highly recommend this app and company to provide excellent customer service! Thank you for making things easy!

I have used this program for all of our devices for many years, with The Vault keeping everything in sync flawlessly. So, I was a bit bothered when iPad and iPhone, while syncing with each other, would ignore the MacBook. An email to tech support elicited a quick response, and the problem was resolved immediately. Through some error on my part, Dropbox (which The Vault uses as the common platform for syncing) had been uninstalled. Re-installing it immediately caused a re-sync of my MacBook, with everything checking out among all devices. Thanks again for excellent tech support!

I’m not sure there’s another password app that keeps your data locally on your devices rather than uploading to a server that can be hacked. To me, that is golden. Also, there’s no recurring fee to sync between devices. Perhaps best of all, look at the developer’s privacy policy. Unlike their competitors, they collect zero information. The Vault is mature and stable, with frequent updates and a quick response to any issues. New features are frequently added, which can result in a bit of a learning curve even for longtime users. For instance, I didn’t realize that you can swipe from right to left to reveal a masked credential, and vice-versa. You can backup manually on demand to Dropbox, iCloud, or Microsoft OneDrive. Or you can let the app manage backups for you automatically. The developers have gone a long way to make passwords secure and easy.

Updated app today, 2/8/2023 and app will not open on iPad or iPhone, it simply crashes. Restarting my device does not resolve the issue. Removing app and reinstalling does not fix the issue. Both of my devices have the latest iOS updates. Now all of my passwords or the ability to get to them are lost.

Have dozens of documents, user names & passwords stored. Even some of my salient medical records. It does exactly what the documentation says it should, every time. I keep the app icon buried so it’s less likely that anyone will find it, let alone crack the password. Really great app. Addendum: Been using The Vault without incident for years. Had a problem with the latest update today. Emailed support & an received answer within an hour. Problem totally solved within next hour. Great app & great support. Thank you.

App is wonderful: fully featured and just works well. You only pay for the features you want, the prices are very reasonable, and NOT subscription based. The few times I contacted the developer I received fast, thoughtful, helpful responses. I’ve been using it for a long time and they keep adding features over time (some free, some not). Bottom line: great app with great ongoing support.

Seriously, I’ve had this free app since I bought my first iPhone many years ago. It’s never failed through every new iPhone and every update. It now offers many options for purchase to fit just about anyone’s needs. But it’s still totally free for very secure text storage. I started using this as a text based password saver. I’d enter the website, login and password and save it I to one document. This was way before any of the costly password savers were even available. It’s continues to work. Now days you can save pictures, files in different formats, just about anything that you need to hide from prying eyes. It’s fast, easy to use, and has the option to sync with your other devices! Including a Mac. I’m not sure about a windows PC, but I’m going to ask their support people who are very fast at answering any questions. They invite ideas to enhance the user experience. Honestly this is one of my top 20 favorite apps. You can purchase Add-ons to fit your needs and they are very reasonable. But it’s perfectly functional by itself, for free. Thanks guys for a great app I’ve used for about 10 years, give or take. Upon edit 7/5/18 For the people who are having trouble, it has to be user error or device error. This App works perfectly and has since it first came out. Over the years they have made many usable AND working updates. I’m just a customer but I suggest contacting support if you don’t know how to use the app. Customer service is excellent. Or maybe try uninstalling then reinstalling the app. I’ve done that with other apps that stopped working after an update or buying a new phone. December 2022 and still one of the best apps in the store. I use this every single day!
