The only usable atlas available offline. Great tool for airline pilots to put more detail into their announcements. There is one downside though: a bit more detailed maps would be an advantage.

THE PREMIER IPAD ATLAS - with RETINA VECTOR MAPS
The World HD is unique in the app store because it includes both a complete set of country maps AND the largest world fact book. These enable it to answer questions which Atlases and fact books cannot: Atlases show you where countries are located, but have very little information about them; fact books tell you about each country, but their maps leave you guessing about where places are located.

The interface is animated and interactive. Touch a country on the world map and the Retina vector country map opens while the factbook slides onto the screen, each topic neatly organized as tiles along the edge of the map. Touch a factbook tile and it zooms out to reveal detailed information about that topic. Not sure where a country is located? Select it on the drop-down list and The World HD zooms in on it then opens the map and factbook.
The zoomable world map is not just the fastest way to select a country it also enables you to visualize and understand entire regions. It is so intuitive and easy to explore that once you get started it's hard to stop!

Immer noch der einzige vernünftige Atlas
Immer noch der einzige vernünftige Atlas fürs iPad. Funktioniert seit Jahren zuverlässig und vor allem auch offline! Hoffentlich wird der Support aufrechterhalten.
Gut, aber Update Polen ist dringend nötig
Gefällt mir insgesamt sehr gut, aber der Versuch in Polen die diakritischen Sonderzeichen zu setzen, kamen als Resultat völlig groteske Zeichenkombinationen in großer Masse heraus. Hier ist ein Update dringend erforderlich!
Vollschrott
Die Auflösung / Detailierung ist marginal. Und: da jeweils nur ein Land geladen/dargestellt werden kann, sind Betrachtungen in Grenzbereichen nicht möglich. Viel zu teuer - für nichts!
The Atlas App I was looking for
Works so nicely! Couldn't believe it but every Country is OFFLINE accessable with all the rivers, mountains and citys and so much detail. There is nothing like this in thr App Store! Keep up the work!
simple maps
these maps are simple school atlas style, nice for an quick overview but not very detailed. only the largest towns are visible and only the major roads. nice to look but not useful for more than simple lookaround. i wish some more detailed maps for this app.
Nicht perfekt, aber besser als der Rest...
... der meist nur lieblos eingescannt hat oder Google-Maps lädt. Die Bedienung ist angenehm, die Karten sind immer noch die schönsten Offline-Karten, die ich kenne. Der Kartenaufbau ist tatsächlich etwas schneller geworden. Einen Stern abzug gebe ich nach wie vor: - es fehlen immer noch einige kleine Detailkarten - die in der Vorversion bemängelten (kleinen) Fehler sind teilweise nicht korrigiert, sondern durch Weglassen der Details verschwunden
Scharfe Karten, klasse Überblick
Genau richtig für Personen, die viel weltweit aktiv sind. Immer dabei, gute Überblicke. Nichts für die detaillierte Reiseplanung, sondern für die grossen Zusammenhänge.

Ich habe mir diese App gekauft da ich mir einige Inseln ansehen wollte aud dennen ich in letzter Zeit war .. Also habe nach Guadelupe in der Karibik gesucht .. und siehe da ....existiert nicht...gibts nicht ...Aber ich war doch dort 3 Wochen lang .. Ich versteh nicht wie man einen so oberflächlichen und schlampigen WORLD ATLAS HD machen kann .. Was soll das ??????????????????????????????????????????????? Schon wieder wird man betrogen !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ich werde garantiert noch viel mehr Fehler finden wenn ich mir diese Missbegurts-App noch näher betrachte... Mit dem kostenlosen Googles Map ist man auf der sicheren Seite .... Also , last Euch nicht auch noch so verarschen ... FINGER WEG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! von dieser APP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
