Tinybeans Private Family Album

The new update “makes it pretty” but often you’ll upload images, add captions and trim videos, only to then have no it not even upload no matter how long you wait. The uploads will show until you close the app and reopen and see they did never load. The last few updates have made the video uploads worse - sometimes they don’t upload at all and other times they’ll upload as a still photo or simply won’t play. Very frustrating as it is over $100 subscription for a year!

Wonderful way to keep in touch daily with the little ones as they grow …

I’ve been a loyal TinyBeans user for 4 years, but this app gets worse with every update. After enduring a mandatory subscription, awful UX design, and a generally glitchy app for years, this update has now resulted in filters mysteriously being applied to my videos, even with “none” selected in the video editor while uploading. I’d quit if there was a way to migrate my precious memories to another app, but I’ve invested too much time/energy into this one.

Yes, it’s easy to add photos and videos but all the captions and comments are trapped. I could find no way to extract or include in album printing. Being able to respond to comments would be nice to have feature too. Cheers, Mary

After using this for a number of years , now all my pics are in there , I was happy with the advertising But now require mandatory subscriptions to use the app Unfortunately I recommended this app to multiple friends now they have same issue

Love this app but it’s annoying that you have to receive notifications for all journals. My siblings all have tinybeans for their kids so I get in excess of 100 notifications a day from their partner’ families - some whom I’ve never even met, simply because I subscribe to their journal. You should be able to choose notifications on/off per journal - particularly when this is now a paid service

Was a good free app, the problem with the forced subscription is that the developers can keep putting the price up without users knowing the end game. I’ll be looking for another platform instead of having my ability to add memories held to ransom.

Despite paying for premium, intrusive advertisements still appear in the feed, for example ‘top baby gifts under $20’ at the tiny beans domain with affiliate links to buy the products from amazon. Also, the ‘home’ feed is over populated with annoying reminders to answer questions about milestones and there is no option to turn this “feature” off.

Love the app and have purchased a lifetime premium family subscription. Reason for the low rating is that the app significantly downgrades the quality of the pictures and videos uploaded, probably to save on cloud storage costs. Zooming into pictures or playing the videos in the app or downloading them from the app to your phone results in the same low resolution experience. It’s a bit like being in the 90s and watching everything on VHS tapes.
