### ***-- "Technically sound but a few UX gripes"
A mostly pleasant experience. This app handles multiple accounts better than any other and is mostly pretty in a quirky way. I enjoy the option to visit a public instance’s local timeline without having an account there, so long as the instance supports it. There’s just a few things that ruin it for me.

The lack of a media view is a pretty huge disappointment for me. I like discovering new artists and immediately diving into their work. It’s much harder with this app since I have to linearly scroll through a timeline filled with text posts and boosts.

It is lacking on some vision-accessibility options. I couldn’t find a way to reduce motion or turn off some animations. Some of the textures may prove difficult for some people - the yellow/black striped content warnings are particularly strenuous on my eyes and difficult to read.

There are also quite a few functions hidden away behind an overburdened “More…” menu, which could possibly be neatly integrated into the UI instead.

Overall I would comfortably recommend this app if none of the issues above sound like a problem to you.

I paid for this as I read a comparison of Mastodon apps and this had loads of features. I have regrets, though, to be honest. I don't like the visual design or OTT animations, e.g. the pink stars etc. It feels obtrusive and kind of sickly. I don't find it that intuitive to use either. Sorry!

This is, without a doubt, the most polished Mastodon client going at the moment. Everything about it oozes attention to detail and someone’s deep pride in their work. So obviously maintained by someone who cares about their craft. 

Sadly though, let down by accessibility issues with fonts and a disappointing “dev knows what’s best for your mental health” approach to (the lack of) badge notifications, which pays not a jot of care to what’s helpful to an individual, or apparently sees people as individuals. 

I highly recommend if they don’t seem like concerns for you.

There are some implementation decisions here that just work against the user. Basic timeline filters are missing, for example, but the worst offence is the photo picker. The photo picker presents a grid of your entire library, with no sorting, filtering, or way to access albums or other organisation. It also defaults to the oldest photo in your library, so if you wanna post that photo you literally just took, you’ve got tens of gigabytes of photos to thumb scroll through. 

The interface has so many small flaws (the wheel to swipe between instances interferes with basic accessibility functionality like reachability) that I just can’t recommend anyone download this app.

Please devs, update the UI to something more modern. Functionally it’s excellent, and I love it, but UI let’s it down. It just looks dated unfortunately.
