Prices always change right before you want to purchase
Very convenient
I've been using Trip.com (formerly Ctrip) since 2011, but after my recent experiences, I’ve decided to delete the app for good. Over the past month, I reached out to their customer service for two very simple requests regarding my flights—nothing complicated. However, all I got in response was the same repetitive apology: “Sorry, we can’t do anything.” It felt like their main role was just to say “sorry” rather than actually helping customers with the services they've paid for. Frustrated, each time I contacted the airlines directly, and to my surprise, their customer support resolved my issues quickly and efficiently—something Trip.com should have done in the first place. Honestly, I no longer see the value in using Trip.com, especially when their prices aren’t even the lowest in the market. Saving $10–15 isn’t worth the stress and lack of support. I’d rather pay a bit more and book directly with airlines to ensure better service and peace of mind. If you're looking for reliable support and smooth travel experiences, I wouldn't recommend Trip.com. I won’t be coming back. Date of experience: January 9 and 24, 2025

When u search for a hotel they show u the lowest price you could find just to get you hyped the moment you start the booking journey the room price sky rockets to 5x because you get a notification stating “prices has been updated” only when u tap on book now.
The status on rebooking through the chat support is misunderstanding and not straight forward, when it came to some issue, I encountered a rude manager named Anna. A lot of bookings are just few bucks cheaper than other booking platforms but I didn’t receive a respected customer support, I will not waste time on Trip.com .
Trip has cost me a couple hundred dollars and a ridiculous amount of stress. When it comes to going to hotels, relying on Trip can make it timely and inconvenient to make changes, even after you’ve already arrived. Plus, when it comes to flights, Trip’s auto check in feature makes it impossible to do timely adjustments day before the flight, delaying and making inconvenient your process of changing it, and in my case meaning all the well priced seats I could have changed a day before, has been taken up completely. Trip’s agents who do customer service, while helpful, is hidden behind an AI response chatbot which will never interpret or answer your questions properly, which adds another layer of frustration. You’ll be saving yourself time and money by just going directly to your hotel or airline’s website, instead of needing to finagle your way through a middle man.
Basically every listing on this site lies about amenities, conditions, services or doesn’t exist at all. Customer service is slow, to non existent.
