There seems to be a prevailing bug that makes it so that the various mission events often do not pop up as they should, which makes some of the story missions unplayable. Sometimes restarting the app might help, but it’s relatively common that the events stop popping up after a while- especially when the almanac reaches 20 archives messages. Would be great to get this fixed.

How does this have 4.8 out of 5? It's an extremely badly made port that's clunky and unresponsive there are menus you can get stuck in forcing a hard reset. 

Buy the PC version and move on from this!

If you’re a former fan of simcity (before it became a money grab borefest) then this is the game for you. It’s different, but achieves and imho enhances the same enjoyment of developing a settlement. The artwork and humour are brilliant and the challenges worthy. Sometimes I just pause the game to “stroll” around the island I’ve created :) Best game on my iPad, I return to it again and again (and no stupid subscriptions or in app purchases required!)

I’ve played and loved most of the Tropico series and this game is the culmination of all the best bits. You can get lost for hours and still not experience all it has to offer. Fantastic game, honestly can’t speak highly enough about it.

Love this game… and great to have the new expansion (Tropican Dream).

One gripe - the “Boycotts” scenario seems to be impossible, and crucially runs to end of 1989 (not 1990).

Played the computer version years ago was intrigued to see how it ported over too mobile but it’s brilliant.

A few bugs here an there where it crashes but nothing major an a restart normally fixes it.

Purchased on 1st day i bought my reasonably priced ipad 64gb 2021 edition os 17 running 

Played few times but noticed issues 

In campaign Viva Tropico, When i delete certain items like the seats ect next to a building it crashes the whole Game 

On restart it reloads an old game i quitted sometime ago 

Have contacted devs by crash report ect, 

Think it needs a ios update

I’ve been playing Trópico for a couple of months now and it’s okay. The concept of being a local dictator is fun, the graphics are amazing and the game is easy as well as generally enjoyable. Where it becomes a tad irritating is waiting forever for your construction crews to build farms and such. In addition to this, the messages, for example, ‘you need to build a church/cathedral/school’, appear to be out of sync with the game as more often than not you’ve often built the item in question.

Could you add some more taller buildings and other essential such as;

• Business office; e.g. increases export profit
• Mall; e.g. Improves Tourism/functions as market 
• Charity Centre etc. 

Also I think the rocks around the hills are actually unnecessary and is the only thing that looks kind of old school silly in the game. 

I’m not saying to take it all off but at least have some maps or preference options that could remove that.

### ***** "All Hail El Presidente!!"
Hadn’t played any of the previous versions of this game so was interested to see what it was like. Thought it may be a bit complex for a phone but works really well. Missions are sufficiently difficult to be interesting and prob average about 2 to 4 hours each one. I’ve played maybe 8 so far, think there might be 20 in total. Still on the one where you have to get residents happiness to 65 rating in 20 years, had about 5 goes at it now and still not completed it which is a good thing in my opinion. Good humour throughout, plenty of nice touches, smooth app no problems with crashing, got a sim city sort of feel to it but with more purpose and a lot more fun. Probably best game I’ve played on iPhone, Enjoy watching the money roll in :)

UPDATE: New campaign levels (Postcards from Tropico) were a nice surprise and much appreciated thanks to the devs. Only fault would be they were a little too easy but hopefully get some more campaign levels in the future!

Uninstalled and refund requested, love the tropico games, played it when it first came out on pc and enjoyed it a lot, it’s been a while and the tutorial here is fundamental to learning how to use on iPad but crashes same place every time on the use 2 fingers to pitch cam up and down, I have up to date iOS and tried restarting iPad to no avail, beyond these things it really isn’t my job to make the game stable, paying 9.99 for the game is a price enough that I should be able to play this on mini 6 fully optimised with no issues, if the devs want to push the game thru for free to me to test it is fixed I will then gladly pay for the game til then I will have to pass.
