I’ve written to true axis support about this, a long time ago. Sometimes, when I try to open settings to change something (usually intending to turn off auto drop-in, or change the control sensitivity), rather than settings opening, a tutorial begins to play. When I choose to exit the tutorial (by saying yes, skip the tutorial) my Perfect Storm has ended. Even if I just started it several seconds before. This isn’t the only bad effect of this bug - it also resets my HUD settings, and other settings. Not ALL of them. It’s always the same group of settings that are reset. Im #%@!ing sick of it. I’ve even deleted the app, hard reset my phone and reinstalled it, which destroyed my progress, and did not fix the bug. iPhone 11, iOS 18.5. (But this bug has persisted since at least 17.0, maybe iOS 16 even. Im on the latest true surf update. Most of the time when the conditions are described as “epic”, they are just huge closeouts. It seems like if it’s over 10 feet it’s considered “epic”. That distinction has nothing to do with shape or surfability. You can be fooled into thinking you should spend your passes going somewhere that’s listed as epic, when the surfing experience is actually worse than the spot you left. Scoring system is wildly inaccurate. You can get an 8 second barrel straight into two airs on and still get a four. So I’ve been playing this game on and off for about 7 years and honestly not much has changed besides the forecasting map and a few minor elements or animations. It’s a really fun game and I’ll always love it! That’s why I want to see it expanded. I believe that this game has so much potential. Ideas include: Introducing weather animations. Allow players to change perspective while surfing. Give players the ability to do longboarding maneuvers! Moving up and down the board, hanging 10, pivoting in the pocket etc. Speaking of longboards, add more of them! You could also give players the ability to customize their own board shapes. And the biggest thing is add more breaks!
