Authy brings the future of two-factor authentication to the convenience of your iPhone or iPad.

The Authy app generates secure 2 step verification tokens on your device. It helps you protect your account from hackers and hijackers by adding an additional layer of security.

   Did you lose your device and get locked out of all of your accounts? Authy provides secure cloud encrypted backups so you will never lose access to your tokens again. We use the same algorithm that banks and the NSA use to protect their information.

Auf dem Mac konnte man bisher noch die iPad Version der App nutzen, leider haben die Entwickler hier auch eine Strich durch die Rechnung gemacht. Jetzt muss man sich eine andere App suchen, um weiterhin komfortabel Codes zu erzeugen und zeitaufwändig neue Keys generieren. Danke dafür, nicht!

Bisher war die App gut und hat gemacht was sie sollte. Plötzlich geht gar nichts mehr. Ich soll updaten, weil ein M1 nicht mehr unterstützt wird.
Werde jetzt auf einen anderen Authenticator wechseln. Warum gibt es keine Legacy Version, welche einfach so weiterläuft. Neue Features brauche ich nicht. Was ich nicht verstehe, es läuft selbst auf iOS Geräten mit älteren Prozessoren!

Hey Twilio! Wird es irgendwann Apple Silicon Support für eure App geben? Bisher konnte ich die iPad-Version auf meinem M1 Mac nutzen, das ist nun aber nicht mehr möglich. Ein echter Rückschritt für eure eigentlich gute App. Sehr schade. Müssen wir uns nach Alternativen umschauen?

Wenn man jemals vor hat auf eine andere TOTP-App umzusteigen, macht Authy den Umstieg mit Absicht fast unmöglich. Authy bietet keine Möglichkeit zum Export der Schlüssel an, obwohl das im TOTP-Standard ausdrücklich erlaubt ist. Andere TOTP-Apps besitzen eine solche Funktion. Man wird schon quasi in eine Falle gelockt, aus der man nur mit viel Aufwand wieder herauskommt.

Diese Geschäftspolitik ist von vorgestern. Die Leuten sollten bleiben, weil man die beste App baut und nicht, weil ein Wechsel Stunden kostet.

Schade, mit dem heutigen Update stürzte die App auf einem iPhone SE2 erst mal direkt ab. Dann werden die Symbole der Konten vielfach nur noch mit Schlüssel dargestellt, was eine Unterscheidung schwer macht. In der Konfiguration neuer Konten werden die Symbole noch richtig angezeigt. Bitte wieder die alte Darstellung aktivieren, die war völlig OK.
