Twitch: Live Streaming

The most recent update makes the app unusable. There’s no need to copy TikTok (short form content) as a long form content platform. Plus the fact that the app randomly switches to a different stream than the one you’re watching, who wants or asked for that change?

Auto playing streams. Hidden follow list. Pausing current playing stream when browsing. The list goes on. Simplify the app to match the main website as best as possible. The new layout is incredibly unintuitive. The previous layout was much more simple which should always be the goal in UX design. The video player has no scale to show the entire video and the full chat scrolling. This was available before layout changes as well.

The new update has made this app unusable with the new UI update. Twitch has decided they want to be like TikTok and be a short form video service which is the exact opposite of watching a live stream. They need to revert the update because it is an absolute nightmare now trying to navigate the app to find something you want to watch. I will not be using the Twitch iOS app again until this is changed.

Funny how they keep replacing this update but fail to address any of the things we are complaining about. It feels like they’re just trying to bury the 1 star reviews. Twitch… You’re not Tik Tok. Please don’t try and be like them. We are here because we like Twitch. Change for the sake of change, and not making anything actually better, is NOT IT! My biggest gripe remains the new Live/Followed list, that is totally random and CANNOT BE SORTED which makes absolutely no sense. Terrible user experience.

I have been using Twitch for a long time and I like to watch older videos a little bit at a find. The new app makes it impossible to find the continue watching videos which used to be on the front page. Just let me start where I left off! Give me back my easy access continue watching!

The new layout is awful. Bring back the previous version. There’s no sorting on the list of followers. It auto plays someone random when I open the app and I need to wait for it to load to be able to open the list of people I follow.

The recent update introduced a TikTok style interface that does not at all fit the content on Twitch or the way I use app. When I open the app, it’s normally to go to a specific channel that I follow or to check who’s live among my follows. I want my follows to be the first thing I see. Having a random stream taking up the entire screen at full volume does not suit my use at all and actively discourages me from wanting to open the app

Twitch UI team is full of disgusting dogs. These changes are anti-consumer and clearly awful. Cant see who is online and the ads are pronounced in the worst way

This new user interface is so inconvenient to use. I have to go out of my way right when I open the app just to see my live following list. I also don’t need an automatic live preview of random streams that are going to pause the stream I’m currently watching every time I click the home tab to see who else is live either. Go back to the old app layout.

The new layout is completely trash. So hard to use. At this point twitch became a new headache.
