Umo is your travel companion, an all-in-one transit app that lets riders at agencies that utilize Umo buy transit passes, get directions, use map navigation, find your bus schedules, and move seamlessly wherever life takes you. Umo gets you where you need to go, displaying transportation closest to you so that you can easily explore, pay and go.

* Simplified Home Screen – The App’s main screen (now accessible from the new ‘Home’ tab) simplifies rider navigation for quick, effortless access to all application features. 

* Easier agency Location – We have replaced “metro areas” with a new agency selection experience to make it easier for riders to locate an agency near them that uses Umo. Agencies are now clearly listed and sorted by nearness to the rider, ensuring that riders select the correct, intended transit agency when they create an account and purchase fare products.   Please note that not all transit agencies use Umo and only those that are available for selection in the App are supported at this time.

* Improved Payment Flexibility – Easily buy transit passes or add money to your wallet in the app. Enjoy the unified wallet, convenient payment methods and easy viewing of fare details across agencies. Riders can also now delete their payment method at any time under ‘View My Account’. 

* Contactless Boarding – The updated version of the App now has quick access to the dynamic QR code used to board from the ‘Code’ tab as well as via ‘Show Code’ links strategically placed throughout the application for faster fare payment.

* Real-Time Information – Umo uses real-time data that provides timely and highly accurate bus tracker or trip planning for those transit agencies that support this functionality.

* Trip Planning – Intuitive navigation for easy journey planning in the App. 

* Enhanced Ride History – Riders now have access to more ride-history details, including month-by-month or an abbreviated history directly from the main menu for easy tracking and management.

* Accessibility – The updated Umo App is fully integrated with VoiceOver, providing an accessible and seamless navigation experience for
visually impaired riders.

* Favorites and Next Stop Alerts – Select your favorite station or stop and opt in to next-stop alerts—so you’re always on-time. 

* Localization – Umo supports English, Spanish and French languages. Simply adjust your Settings to your preferred language.

What a scam of an app do NOT ever turn on auto load. Once you do it will never go away. Even after you turn it off. Then every time you buy a $2.5 bus ticket it will auto load your card with $5. I even got a MONTHLY PASS and every time I scan it I get a free ride but it STILL adds $5 to my account.

The Umo app only lets you pay for one person at a time, so every member of your party has to download the app, and then you have to pay $5 minimum in order to charge your card so even if you only plan to take the bus once you have to pay double to be able to ride. Total racket

not only is it brutally difficult to create an account for this app, it completely crapped out, signed me out and ate my five dollars i had put into it last weekend as i tried to get on the bus. nearly made me late for work, thanks umo 👎

normally it would cost me 1.75$ to ride the bus as i am a student but this app is making me pay 2.00$ every time which isn't a big difference but the fact the TRANSFER ONLY LASTS AN HOUR it really will add up. please fix this!

I previously bought 2 cards and tried to transfer the cash balance to the app “wallet” but when o went to use it on the bus, it said there was no money or passes. 
The app is fairly primitive, I can’t add to favourites, change icons, and a bunch of other stuff. Maybe it’s just because it’s an early version and updates are coming.

its definitely better than it used to be and im glad most of the bugs that rendered this app useless were fixed, but it'd be really nice if the app stopped randomly signing me out right as im trying to get on my bus. Also if it would be REALLY nice if you didn't need to have internet connection, cause if you're reception is bad and your trying to get on the bus, sucks for you I guess ugh its such a pain. I'd definitely recommend getting a physical card over the app, except no where in my region seems to have the physical cards

### *---- "Terrible company that solves an issue that didn’t exist"
If you’re at UNBC and got a redemption code that was mistakenly set for 2025, have fun solving the headache to get it sorted out. Umo would like to put the blame on UNBC for incorrect dates, but who provided the numbers? It’s not the school’s fault. This transition to Umo solves a non-existent problem that only complicates my use of the $100 I spent in my tuition fees to use the public transportation. I have now spent extra money just to legally use the transit system. I used to be able to just show my student card and that was enough. Umo and the BC government are wholly wrong for this partnership. Also $2.50 a ride??? That’s just extortion. We didn’t need an app for payment. We already had the transit app to show us bus routes and live bus locations. Garbage app, garbage company, garbage system.

Edit: I also talked to customer service twice (this is not the fault of whoever picked up the phone, they’re just following orders) and there’s nothing they can do about it. Why can’t you give your employees the power to look up the U-Pass program and issue a new number themselves? Have some sort of verification with the account so that you verify the account is an associated with the university and an active student that way you prevent people taking advantage of the system. If this gets changed, I’ll change my review.

I went to go and fill my account with money and it didn’t accept my visa debit. I went to see if I could figure out why, and it said contact your local transit service 

Went to delete the account and I can’t delete my account because… you guessed it! I have to contact my local transit service! 

If everything is done by bc transit what is the point of this app?
