Told on the phone that there is a problem with the barcodes and I could get the discount refunded. Downloading and setting up went well. When I click on “generate barcode” I get an error saying unable to generate a barcode. Pls try again in a few mins. Having been trying for 3 days. Same message. The discounts are only at certain participating outlets. The participating outlets fuel is not cheaper as they raise the prices to compensate for the discount. One United station had diesel for $1.72 per litre and unfortunately wasn’t participating in the programme, down the road another United station had diesel for $1.82 per litre and was listed as a participating outlet. So realistically no discount. I found this the same at all participating stations, higher fuel prices, and non participating stations, cheaper fuel prices. The whole thing is a false and misleading. Shame on both the government and the company advertising this totally useless scheme to seniors. Delete the app and use the free NSW fuel app, this is a much better, easier and fuel efficient way of finding your nearest and cheapest fuel. -- markbatman, 2024-12-09 ### *---- "Mike at Yarra" Just doesn’t work. 7 digit verification code with 6 digit input block. And I’ve used them exclusively ever since. But now they’re being replaced with this idiotic app. Which assumes you’re connected to the internet like some brain dead teenybopper. Well, big news flash… not all seniors are online. And even fewer have data. My phone is for incoming calls and emergencies only. So unless you provide free wifi at all your outlets, we’re done once the cards stop working. Having to generate a new barcode every day? And only being able to fuel once? What imbecile dreamed that up? Useless on a long trip. Useless if we hear that the price is going up and we want to top up. Useless if we have two devices or two cars. Sorry, but this app needs to be trashed and the whole thing rethought. I’m going back to Woolies because at least they have the right approach with all the work being done in the backend.
