My phone connects to the tv with no issue, it uses the same wifi, but for some reason the app just doesnt see my tv

Have a Sharp Aquos tv and the remote has gone AWOL on me. This works perfectly and actually works better than the remote that came with the tv! Very happy with this, would be better if there was a lifetime purchase option that was actually cheap on it rather than €7.50 a week or €60 but the three day free trial will do me until a new remote is delivered!
