Automatically unlock difficult to trigger
As the subject indicate, I had trouble make it unlock automatically when phone is nearby. It seems that the logic is not just being close from the computer but actually recording to be further away than the set threshold and then crossing the threshold. I tried in the range -50dBm to -100dBm for months but it never worked, this is because my phone was actually always too close, above -40dBm. With this in mind, i set it to -40dBm and i can unlock it consistently now.

One of my favourite (paid) apps
I’d been using the original MacID since it was first released, and it was a no-brainer to get this update. Besides just the titular unlocking feature, I also use Unlox (and MacID previously) as the main method to send clipboard text between my Mac and iPhone; it works more reliably than Continuity’s Universal Clipboard.
Importantly as well, Kane (the developer) is very responsive to feedback: any kinks so far (previously in MacID and during the beta period for Unlox) have been addressed expeditiously—in certain cases almost immediately even. I’ve been more than happy to support Kane’s work on MacID/Unlox and I look forward to Unlox getting even better going forward!
Works as expected
Was a little weary as there hasn’t been a recent update and some of the other solutions found no longer seem to be available.
Happy to report this has been working great with my M2 Mac mini and paired with the remote pro app does everything I need.
Hope the dev continues to update as needed, made me a happy customer
Sonoma issues on Intel Mac
Used to work to automatically wake and login to my intel iMac. After Sonoma the auto wake still works but the auto login is broken. Still works great on M1 Air.
Weird issue
Worked ok for a few days but when my phone was in another room today I got logged out of my Mac ever 20 seconds. Feared a virus but it had something to do with Unloxw. Deleted and problem gone.
Useful tool but a little buggy
It can be a pain to connect to your phone. Sometimes it just won’t work, so you have to disconnect your phone, restart your mac, and pair it to your phone again, but it does work otherwise and very useful when it’s working properly.
