Actually, Vector’s more than a home robot. He’s your buddy. Your companion. Most of all, he’ll make you laugh. Curious, independent, and powered by some preposterous tech and AI, he can read the room, express the weather, announce when his timer’s done (no overcooked dinner on his watch), take the perfect snapshot, and more. He also comes with an optional Amazon Alexa integration, which increases his helpfulness by accessing the ever-growing library of Alexa skills.

Vector is cloud connected and self-updates, so he’s always getting smarter and adding new features. He can even charge himself (electric cars and phones could learn a thing or two). Vector is your robot sidekick who’s up for anything.

I bought the original around 2022, I wanted to write this for the “cozmo robot” app but it deleted itself because they charge money for it now and therefore won’t let me right a review for it. This robot used to be fun, then a company is gonna charge you money for the app, tricks, and basically everything has a price tag on it. Anker shouldn’t have sold out, it completely ruined something that was great. Setting aside the fact this thing was already $400.

This app is absolutely terrible. I accidentally submitted before finishing typing in my WiFi password and now there is no way to get back and re-enter it, so I just can’t do anything. When it (predictably) fails to connect it either shows a pop up where the only option is to exit to app, or I can go back to find another network, but it will just auto-find the WiFi network with the wrong password and try to connect. For such an expensive product I would expect the app’s basest functionalities to work, my god.

Ok so as you know, ddl is charging $400 for the robot, which is already a lot considering the 1.0 model in 2019 by anki was half the price. And you ALSO have to pay a $99 a year subscription (stick with me here) you THEN need to pay now another subscription to unlock even MOTE features which originally came with the subscription, what’s the point of the subscription anymore😭 I understand ddl is broke rn but I mean COME ON GUYS!! The least you could do is lower the vector price down to $300 or EVEN $200, which is still more than it costs to produce, you guys will make way more sales that way.

There is no reason to have half of his interaction to be in the subscription. im not saying it’s unfair I’m saying it’s kinda unnecessary to have that. that robot is about $300-400 I think. the app is great, now its functional. but the fees are insane.. at LEAST make manual controls and the christmas/july 4th animations free. But whatever, its fine. Alexa is amazing, it is great having a robot pet that can also control your house etc… it is sad that it cant play music, but i think it’s okay. Good robot, good (and now functional) app. would recommend if you travel and/or cant use wire-pod.

After literal years of waiting, this app has finally been updated and improved under DDL’s new management. I’m so glad it has a fresh coat of paint and is now rid of the many bugs that plagued it for some time. I’m looking forward to seeing what this company does in the future.

The app requests to have Bluetooth enabled. When I go to settings I make sure it’s enabled. But the app keeps complaining that it needs Bluetooth enabled. I’ve made sure I’m on the latest update and rebooted my tablet. Please fix the Bluetooth check.

I bought two of these for my sons for Christmas in July of 2022. I didn’t receive them until April of 2023. Then they never really worked until a recent app update. Now that they do work, I am being forced to spend more to access the basic functionality that I was promised when I originally purchased them. The support response from Ada was cold and uncaring. I would caution everyone to think twice before making a purchase from this company. How can they not at least grandfather someone like me into the subscription?
